Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 601

Chapter 601

“Then should we take the opportunity to…” Albert looked up at Marina with a dark glint in his eyes.

Hearing this, Marina raised her eyes and looked at him. Marina stretched out her fingertips and lifted Albert’s chin. Marina said unhurriedly. “The water is not muddy enough now. When the water in the pool is so muddy that you can’t see it clearly, that will be a good opportunity to catch and kill fish.

Albert didn’t say anything. He just followed the force of Marina’s fingers and moved forward.

Seeing this, Marina smiled even more, but her eyes were still cold. Marina’s sharp nails slowly slid down Albert’s face as she said unhurriedly, “Do you know what’s the most difficult and the most painful thing in this world?”

Albert pondered for a moment but could not think of it

“Being hurt by someone close.” Marina slowly retracted her hand and stood up to look at the boundless. night sky outside the window. Marina’s beautiful eyes flickered with a clear cold light. “It was most fatal to be hurt by someone he raised and trained, someone he considered to be the most satisfying successor. I just don’t know if that woman is worth the grandfather and grandson turning against each other?”

“Maybe we can test it out.” Albert looked at the expression on Marina’s face and said carefully, “The Tory family might hate Rachel now. Who knows if they will take revenge.”

The Tory family thought that everything would be fine after sacrificing Cindy, but they did not expect David to be so merciless.

The businesses under the Tory family’s name were severely damaged.

A cornered dog would jump over the wall. Who knew if the Tory family would hate Rachel and take revenge on Rachel because of this?

“What’s the hurry?” Marina glanced at Albert and picked up a white rose in the vase. Marina sniffed it and said slowly, “There will always be people who can’t control themselves.”

No matter who attacked, they only needed to sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Marina was curious if David, who had a weakness, could still be as decisive as before!

Marina really hoped to see the scene of the grandfather and grandson turning against each other.

However, Marina did not know if Rachel was worth it.

With this in mind, Marina clenched her fists tightly. The beautiful white rose was ruined by Marina and thrown to the ground.

The next morning.

Rachel arrived at the company as usual.

When the meeting ended, it was already an hour and a half later.

As Rachel flipped through the file in her hand, she headed for her office.

However, Rachel did not expect to see Old Mr. Johnson sitting on the sofa when she pushed the door

open.

“Grandpa?” Rachel exclaimed in surprise. Rachel turned to look at Linda beside her.

Linda shook her head slightly, indicating that she did not know about Old Mr. Johnson’s arrival either.

A hint of contemplation flashed past Rachel’s eyes. “You can leave first. No one is allowed to approach the office without my permission.”

“Yes, Ms. Grey,” Linda said.

After the office door closed, Rachel stood in front of Old Mr. Johnson. “Why are you suddenly here? You didn’t even tell me.”

“You’re getting more successful now, and you have a big shot backing you up. How would I dare to

trouble you to welcome me personally?” Old Mr. Johnson turned his head and refused to look at Rachel.

As smart as Rachel was, she naturally sensed something from the old man’s words.

It seemed that the news about the Tory family had reached the old man.

Rachel was not in a hurry to explain. Instead, she got up and personally brewed a pot of coffee for the old man. Rachel handed the coffee to Old Mr. Johnson.

However, the old man snorted arrogantly, and he had no intention of accepting it.

Rachel was not angry. She placed the coffee on the table and said unhurriedly. “No matter how arrogant 1 am, I can’t compare to you, right?”

Hearing this, Old Mr. Johnson frowned imperceptibly!

Rachel continued, “I heard that Mrs. Jones asked to visit you early, but you kept rejecting her because you claimed you were not feeling well. Isn’t that you being arrogant?”

“You heartless little brat, I’m your biological grandfather. I am!” Old Mr. Johnson slammed the walking stick in his hand against the ground. As if that wasn’t enough, he raised the walking stick.

Mr. Chadwick saw the situation and rushed forward with a terrified expression. “Mr. Johnson, please

don’t!”

Looking at the old man’s angry expression, Rachel could not help but laugh. “Mr. Chadwick, don’t stop. him. If he wants to hit me, let him.”

“Miss Grey!” Mr. Chadwick looked at Rachel helplessly.

Sometimes, Rachel was really like Sophia.

Rachel was clearly spoiled, but she still looked so self-righteous. It was really infuriating and lovable at the same time.

“How did I raise such a brat like you!” Old Mr. Johnson snorted angrily.
