Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 649

Chapter 649

How do your know that I can’t get what I want? Rachel raised her eyebrows. The corners of her lips curled up into a smile with unconcealable sharpness

At her words, Olivia’s pupils constricted as she fixed her gaze on Rachel.

Her gaze gradually changed from shock to uncontainable hatred.

Finally she couldn’t take it anymore and stood up. She pointed at Rachel and scolded, “Rachel Grey, don’t go too far! Ive already apologized to you What else do you want? I’ll give you a piece of good advice Don’t go too far, or you’ll suffer retribution!”

David frowned imperceptibly. His cold voice rang unhurriedly. “Why must she forgive you when you apologize Miss Cruise, you think too highly of yourself”

His voice was low and slow, rubbing against one’s heart like an ice blade, making one shudder.

Bertha gulped and said with difficulty. “What will it take for you to let us go…”

Rachel raised her eyes and glanced at her indifferently. She slowly stood up and walked over to

Olivia

Ever since she saw the brutal scene of Rachel fighting against eight in the video, Olivia had been fearful of her

Seeing Rachel approach, her body tensed up and her eyes were filled with vigilance. Her hand could not help but clench into fists

“Rachel, we’re at the police station! Olivia’s voice was trembling uncontrollably

However, Rachel only smiled and stretched out her hand to the side with her palm facing up.

Eddie Brook, who had been keeping a low profile ever since their arrival, immediately went forward and handed her the lawyer’s letter that he had prepared respectfully.

Rachel held the lawyer’s letter between her index and ring fingers and gently patted it on Olivia’s cheek

The weight of the paper was very light, but every slap seemed to hit her heart. She couldn’t help but grimace, and even her breathing was slightly suffocated.

Although Olivia tried to control her fear of Rachel, she was still unable to face her directly.

She felt the sharp edges of the paper slowly slide down her face like a knife, making her tense up.

Olivia gritted her teeth and said coldly. “Rachel, what do you want?”

Rachel’s eyes were dark and cold. Her red lips curled into a flamboyant smile. “Keep this. I’ll see you

in court.”

Hearing this, Olivia and Bertha’s expressions suddenly changed. Their eyes were filled with horror.

“Rachel, you are driving us up a wall!” Bertha gritted her teeth and said, “I can tell you clearly that Olivia has nothing to do with hiring someone to kill! I advise you to stop thinking about this.” Rachel looked at her mockingly. Then, she turned to look at Olivia. “Why don’t you open it?” Olivia’s eyelashes fluttered. She slowly lowered her eyes and saw the official seal of Adrian Johnson’s Law firm on the lawyer’s letter.

It was clearly written in black and white that Olivia was being prosecuted for kidnapping. Something snapped in Olivia’s brain. Her originally haggard face instantly lost its color, leaving her face only even paler.

Rachel actually knew.

From the moment she planned to return to the country, she had secretly been investigating Louis.

She knew that Rachel had been by Louis’s side for three whole years, but she did not believe that love. would develop over time until she heard that Louis was about to marry Rachel.

At that time, she was completely flustered.

In order to make her entrance less sudden and to regain Louis’s heart, she could only plan a kidnapping case to destroy Rachel’s innocence.

Originally, everything was under her control. However, she did not expect Rachel to escape after injuring those people.

Fortunately, she managed to take a few valuable photos,

She was worried that the truth would be exposed, so she simply gave those people a sum of money and sent them overseas.

She had done the whole thing herself. She thought that no one would know about it, but she could. not hide it from Rachel!

At this moment, she finally realized how terrifying Rachel was.

Olivia’s finger trembled slightly as she stared at Rachel with red eyes. Her throat was dry and tense. “How do you know all this…”

“I know far more than that.” Rachel smiled.

Her gaze slowly slid down and landed on Olivia’s abdomen like a knife. The smile on her lips was meaningful.

Panic flashed across Olivia’s eyes. She reached out to cover her lower abdomen instinctively.

Rachel chuckled and turned to leave.

Watching her leave, Bertha only turned her eyes on Olivia then. “Olivia, what else are you hiding from me?”

“Don’t ask anymore,” Olivia said in a low voice. “Even if you know, what can you change now?”

Nothing could be changed now.

With Adrian’s strength, there was no way she could escape the law.

Besides, Rachel had never wanted to let her off from the beginning.

Bertha was still indignant. “If we don’t think of a way, are we just going to stand by and watch the Cruise family fall?

“We can’t beat Rachel,” Olivia said.

Only now did she realize how stupid she was to think she could trample Rachel underfoot.

After leaving the police station, David took Rachel to Best Fry for dinner.

He placed peeled prawns on a plate and gave Rachel the entire plate. “Are you going to the office later or are you coming with me?”

“To the office,” Rachel said lightly.
