Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 653

Chapter 653

When Zion left, he happened to see Thomas Shain standing at the office door in a daze. Although he was only there shortly, his eyes were filled with too many complicated emotions. “Mr. Summers, where are we going next?” The assistant behind him asked Zion carefully. Zion retracted his gaze indifferently, his thin lips opened as he said coldly. “Back to the company!”

His assistant had a bad feeling instantly

It seemed like he would have to work overtime again tonight.

Meanwhile, when Thomas heard the intimate conversation between David and Rachel, it was as if he had been struck by lightning. He stood at the door in a daze.

He didn’t understand when David met Rachel

Previously, in the Chamber of Commerce of the Four Families, there were a lot of rumors because David invited Rachel to visit Graceville Mansion.

At that time, he only thought that the girls were jealous of her.

But now it seemed that perhaps everything happened for a reason.

While he was still deep in his thoughts, Rachel and David walked out of the office with their hands. interlocked.

When she saw Thomas, Rachel was slightly stunned. “Mr. Shain, are you here for me?”

Thomas suddenly came back to his senses and stared at the couple in front of him.

The man was tall and straight. His every move exuded a noble and indifferent aura. Even if he did not say or do anything and was just standing there quietly, his presence made people terrified and submit to him instinctively.

He had to admit that some people were truly God’s better creations ever since they were born.

He was a natural winner and king. He was destined to stand at the top of the pyramid in this life.

Meanwhile, Rachel, who was standing beside him, looked petite and cute in contrast to the man’s towering presence.

However, when the couple stood side by side, none of them was outshined by the other. Surprisingly. they looked like such a perfect match.

They were a match made in heaven.

Thomas, who had always thought highly of himself, finally realized how overconfident he was.

He gulped and pursed his lips stiffly. “I happened to pass by…”

As he spoke, a sudden bitterness surged up, choking the words out of his mouth.

He took a deep breath and suppressed the aching pain in his heart. He calmed down a little and continued, “I have other matters to attend to. I’ll see you later.”

With that, he turned and left in a sorry state.

Watching him leave, Rachel could almost have guessed who sent the 999 roses.

But who sent the first bouquet of roses?

David held Rachel’s hand and walked towards the elevator.

After waiting for Thomas to leave first, Rachel and David took their private elevator.

When the employees on this floor saw the couple leave, they could not help but take out their phones to snap photos secretly.

For a moment, the employees’ group chat exploded.

Earlier, when the bouquets of roses were carried into Rachel’s office, the employees were already whispering among themselves. Then, one after another, good-looking men came to the company.

They had long guessed that these people were pursuing their elusive Ms. Grey.

There were even people who were secretly betting in the group chat, guessing who would be able to win the heart of the beauty tonight.

Some people betted on Zion, while others put their guesses on Thomas, but no one dared to bet on David.

After all, in their eyes, David, who was always in a black suit, was cold and abstinent. He was like a holy immortal who could not be violated. No matter how they looked at it, he looked like he could never be troubled by secular love.

Therefore, when everyone saw Rachel and David leaving hand in hand, they all agreed that Ms. Grey, could be considered a model among women for making such a godlike figure submit to her.

In the underground parking lot, Billy Jones stood guard in front of the car.

When he saw Rachel and David, he stepped forward and opened the door. Then, he got into the car and took the initiative to be their driver.

Rachel and David got into the car one after another.

She had just tucked a strand of hair behind her shoulder when David suddenly picked her up to pull her onto his lap. Then, she felt a pair of warm lips against hers.

His kiss was urgent and restrained.

Rachel’s fingertips curled up slightly. She tried her best to cooperate, but she was still unable to keep.

His kiss was as fierce and domineering as a gale, plundering her breath crazily, as though trying to swallow her whole.

Billy, who was sitting in the front row, raised the small partition silently.

“Good lord, it is rumored that Mr. Jones never gets close to women. Why does it seem like the opposite?”

It was not until Rachel’s tongue went numb that David finally released her reluctantly.

He looked down at Rachel, who was panting heavily.

Those pitch-black eyes shone with unconcealable dominance and passion.

He held Rachel’s chin between his thumb and index finger. His fingers gently wiped away the stains

at the corners of her mouth, and uncontrollable emotions surged in his dark eyes.

Just then, Rachel’s phone rang suddenly.

It was Linda.

“Ms. Grey, there’s a bouquet of roses for you at the front desk…”

Rachel sighed helplessly and said without any hesitation, Throw it away.”

After hanging up the phone, she met David’s half-smile.

“Miss Grey’s luck with the opposite sex is truly enviable.”
