Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 671

Chapter 671

Rachel walked over to a quiet corner of the garden with her phone.

A series of messages appeared as she swiped the screen.

Each message contained the same few words. “Are you there?”

Her eyebrows twitched.

Just at that moment, her phone rang.

The man whom she had contacted after logging into her account was on the other end of the call.

The man was a core member of the Alliance, known as Lone Wolf.

The members of the Alliance had always been sca*****ered and lurking in various parts of the world. They wandered in the gray areas of society, yet they held high positions all around the world.

In their organization, anyone, be it experienced politicians or roadside vendors, could know everything they wanted to know as long as they could afford the corresponding remuneration.

No one knew when the Alliance was founded, but the organization was already active in the black markets of various countries and regions and had established an irreplaceable position when people first became aware of it.

Rachel took a deep breath. She slid her finger across the screen and answered the phone. The first thing she said was, “What’s wrong with you?”

Upon hearing this, Lone Wolf on the other end of the phone forcefully retorted, “Why did you take so long to reply to my messages? I thought you hadn’t seen them yet.”

Rachel was speechless.

“By the way, why did you ask me to look up the Mercedes-Benz G636X6?” Lone Wolf seemed to have deduced something through his series of investigations. “I received news recently that there was a traffic accident in Aureliana, and the vehicle involved was precisely a Mercedes-Benz G636X6. So you must be in Aureliana!”

Although it was a result of a series of deductions, his words were filled with confidence.

Rachel did not answer him and instead asked, “What did you find out?”

“I already sent it to your email. Lone Wolf was more confident of his assumption from her evasive response. “Add me on Whatsapp later. It’s more convenient to send any information directly through there in the future.”

Rachel casually responded, “Can you trace the owner of the car?”

Lone Wolf quickly flew over the keyboard with his clean and slender fingers. A list popped up on the screen after he keyed in a series of complex codes.

He held the mouse and scrolled through the list. “The Mercedes-Benz G636X6 is not a limited edition, so I can only narrow down the scope of the investigation through the purchase records in the database in the past year. There are six cars without any maintenance records in the past year, and three of them have been resold to the second-hand market. The remaining three should be the ones you saw.”

In other words, the owner of those three cars was from Aureliana.

“I investigated the owner of those three cars. The owner happens to be in Aureliana and the last name is Jones,” said Lone Wolf.

“What is the full name?” Rachel asked with a hint of coldness in her eyes.

“The other party’s system has been upgraded, so I can only see the last name ‘Jones. The person’s first

name has been forcefully encrypted,” Lone Wolf said with a hint of frustration. “But the name is of medium length, so you can narrow down the search and focus on that.”

Rachel smiled faintly and said, “Thanks.”

Just as Rachel was about to hang up, Lone Wolf warned in a hurry, “Though, how did you get implicated with Aureliana’s Jones family? Let me tell you, the Jones family might look like a peaceful family, but there has been infighting for many years. This is especially so for the branch families, which have had their fair share of ups and downs. However, the branch families have started to band together to fight against the main family. Anyway, the Jones family is a chaotic place. It’s best you don’t get implicated with them so that trouble doesn’t come to you.”

“Okay.”

Rachel was not surprised by what Lone Wolf had said. She had more or less guessed the situation.

If the Jones family really were as peaceful as they appeared on the surface, they wouldn’t have acted so eagerly on the first day of David’s return to Aureliana.

“I’ve said everything that needs to be said. Just be careful in Aureliana! Contact me if anything happens!” Lone Wolf said. He then suddenly remembered something and repeated with a serious tone, “Don’t forget to add me on Whatsapp! Make sure you add me!

“Got it.”
