Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 737

Chapter 737

Even though she knew that she was in this too deep, Georgia could not control the desire to win this game in her heart.

Especially when she heard the tempting conditions that Rachel had just offered, her sanity had long been burned away by her impulse. How could she be willing to give up just like that?

Life was limited but greed wasn’t. Greed was the root of all evil.

Constantly believing that their expected goal would be achieved was precisely the wishful thinking that every gambler had.

At this moment, Georgia was acting just like those gamblers at the casinos.

Since Rachel wanted to teach Georgia a lesson, she naturally wouldn’t let her off so easily.

Moreover, even if she let it slide now, Georgia might not let it go.

“Alright.” Rachel gave her an innocent smile and didn’t seem aggressive at all. “Looks like Miss Walker is having a lot of fun right now, and I’m glad to play this game with you. Including the draw just now, how about two wins out of three?”

Georgia had long been overwhelmed by the strong desire to win. “Alright!”

Two wins out of three. She still had a chance!

After that, Rachel still remained calm and collected. However, Georgia didn’t seem casual at all and became extremely cautious.

Underestimating the enemy was a huge taboo.

Before, she had underestimated Rachel, but she wouldn’t do that anymore.

It wasn’t until Rachel placed the dice cup on the table that Georgia’s heart finally calmed down a little. “One point.”

Hearing this, Rachel sighed regretfully. “Miss Walker, you’re wrong again. You’re one point, and I’m five.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she opened the dice cup under everyone’s gaze.

The five dice fell neatly together, and beside them was a shattered dice.

Everyone looked at Rachel in disbelief.

Rachel shrugged. “I’m really sorry. I accidentally used too much strength just now.”

She did not say much to brag about her skills and only proved her ability by actions.

She had actually used the dice cup to shatter the dice. This was definitely not something that could be done with so-called “too much strength”.

At first, Georgia was still hoping that she would get lucky and win this time. But now, all her fantasies were shattered. She started sweating uncontrollably.

She sat on the chair in a daze and stared at the dice on the table for a long time.

Everyone looked at Georgia with complicated expressions on their faces.

She was the one who brought herself to this. What was she gonna do about this now?

At this moment, Blackhawk chuckled and looked at Georgia mockingly. “Miss Walker, why aren’t you saying anything?”

Georgia’s eyelashes trembled as she slowly came back to her senses.

She looked up at Rachel, who was sitting opposite her.

“A bet is a bet.” David, who had been silent all this while, suddenly spoke. He held Rachel’s hand, his well-defined fingers rubbing the skin on the back of her hand. “Tell me, what punishment do you have in mind?”

His casual tone was filled with unconcealable doting and indulgence.

Everyone could tell that something from his attitude and silently mourned for Georgia in their hearts for a second.

Hearing this, Georgia’s heart turned cold. Her eyes flickered with a dark and complicated light as she looked at David.

She thought that their friendship over the years could make David take her side even just for a little.

But this man was far more heartless than she had imagined.

He did not want to save her face at all.

Jimmy gave Landon a look, indicating for him to wait and see.

No one could blame David for being merciless. Georgia had brought this upon herself.

Of all people, she had to provoke Rachel.

She could gossip about anyone else in the world, but she had to target Rachel.

Rachel brushed away David’s hand and raised her hand to fix the loose hair by her ear. “Miss Walker, can you do a dare as your punishment?”

Georgia looked at her.

The woman’s gaze was so calm as if everything was within her expectations.

Including the fact that Georgia would lose.

The moment she realized that, she suddenly felt shivers down her spine and trembled uncontrollably.

She bit her lip and dug her nails into her palms. She stared at Rachel without blinking, her eyes filled with unwillingness.

“A bet is a bet.” Landon looked at Georgia, who had already lost her mind. Fearing that she would do something bad, he said, “No matter what the punishment is, she deserves it.”

It was all Georgia’s fault and even if she was humiliated, she deserved it and only had herself to blame.

Hearing this, Rachel was slightly relieved.

Just then she was worried that Landon would plead for Georgia.

She supported her forehead with one hand and pondered for a moment. “Then let’s take this to somewhere else, is that okay? It doesn’t seem very convenient here.”

With that, she stood up.

The others followed closely behind.

Georgia sat still, unwilling to get up for a long time. However, Landon refused to give her a chance to get away with it. He warned her in a low voice, “You were the one who refused to listen to me and insisted on making things come to this. Now that you’ve lost, go and accept your punishment. No matter what punishment it is, you have to accept it and soldier through!”

Hearing that, Georgia glared at Landon. “Even you won’t help me!”
