"How is it that I offered a day for me to do all that you say, but it ends up with you acting like a servant for me?" Selene wondered.
The pair were under a large tree, which provided shade from the sun. Selene laid on Xavier’s lap while he fed her what was packed for them.
Xavier placed another berry in Selene’s mouth for her to enjoy. "Spoiling my wife isn’t a bad way to spend the day, and I have many hours to go before the day ends."
"I won’t complain," Selene said, enjoying the treatment she got. "The berries are sweet. Have you tried one? I think they would make a good drink."
"I have tried them," Xavier said, placing another in Selene’s mouth. "They are good. Aside from the fruits, I have never had so much food that humans enjoy in my home."
"I like most of it. I may stop eating their dishes, but I cannot give up on the fruits. They are too good, and now I want to bake something. Perhaps it would be more to your liking if something strong is added."
"Do you like baking that much?"
"Yes. It is a hobby that I enjoy. I still need to find more hobbies to make my time less boring. My time when I am not with you," Selene explained. "Do you have any hobbies?"
"I do," Xavier said, placing a berry in his mouth. "I have chosen the best one which concerns my wife."
"It is what Francesca suggested, isn’t it?" Selene replied, knowing Xavier too well. "I think that I should keep you two away from each other. You both plot on how to get me to seduce you."
"I enjoy the gifts she prepares, so you must never end your friendship with her. You have reminded me of something I want today," said Xavier.
"I am going to hide any gifts she hands me from you. For a change, why don’t you dress up for me?" Selene asked.
"Don’t I look handsome every day? That is a gift to you. Also, I think you prefer it when I walk around with little to no clothing. I have never missed your gaze. Look at me all you want, Selene. Your attention is all that I look forward to, so indulge me a little," said Xavier.
"I would if not for the way you tease me. I do enjoy looking at you. You are a handsome, charming man who makes me think things that I cannot say out loud. I am looking even when I deny it. You finally have your confession," Selene said, taking a berry to feed to Xavier.
"I never needed you to admit to it since I have eyes. I knew that you were watching me, which was why I kept purposely walking out scantily dressed before you. It is amusing to see you avert your eyes, only for you to be glued to my body when I look away," said Xavier.
Selene grabbed an apple slice to place in Xavier’s mouth to make him stop taking. "You must eat."
