"It's okay Ella, you know I don't like putting too much makeup on." Annie groaned but Ella did not pay attention to her. Instead, she concentrated on the magic she was doing on Annie's face.

Ella, Claire and Jayden were getting Annie ready. She agreed to be Eric's date at a function tonight.

"You don't have any choice, Ann. I want you to be the most beautiful woman in that event tonight. And if possible, I want to see your face all over the newspapers and magazines tomorrow morning." She grinned.

Annie was prepared for that. She knew accompanying Eric to the charity event would have its consequences. But he had begged her that he wanted her to go with him. She agreed too because she wouldn't like the idea of him taking another woman as his date.

After the charity event, she'll be spending the night with Eric at his apartment. She will also be spending the day with him tomorrow after which they'll go to his parents' mansion in the evening then Eric will drop her at her apartment.

"Ella, the bag is all set." Claire grinned as she walked out of Annie's closet with a medium-size sleepover bag.

Ella offered to pack for Annie and according to Annie, the bag should contain: her nightdress, casual clothes for tomorrow morning, an evening dress for her to wear to visit Eric's parents, her vitamins, a pair of heels and her skincare products.

Ella had carefully selected everything when Annie was in the shower and had instructed Claire to put them in a bag

"You look gorgeous, my Queen." Ella playfully bowed which earned a chuckle from all of them.

"Thank you, Ella." Annie stood up and hugged her best friend; the one who has been there for her in good and bad times, the person she will forever cherish.

They pulled away from the hug when someone opened the door and walked into Annie's room. It was Jayden.

"Your Prince Charming is here, sis." He announced. Annie's heart skipped a bit.

From her reaction, Ella could tell Annie was nervous. She took her hands in hers and gave it a comforting squeeze.

They all escorted Annie downstairs to meet Eric.

Eric needed to attend a charity event and he had to go with a date. He wanted Annie to go with him so he asked her to come with him. He could tell she was reluctant with the way She sounded over the phone. But he ended up persuading her and the most exciting part was that she had agreed to spend the night at his place. Eric's heart was filled with so much joy.

Exactly 7.45 pm, he was in front of Annie's apartment; all dressed up in his well-tailored suit and holding a bouquet of red roses.

He sighed before pressing the doorbell. A few minutes later, the door was opened and he saw a young boy who was about his youngest sister's age.

"Hi." He greeted with a smile. "You must be Jayden. It's nice to meet you." He added.
