Burton's attitude showed that he was satisfied with Jacquelyn as his wife for the time being. There was no need for Hillary to offend Jacquelyn. So, she swallowed the explanation she was about to give and said instead, "Georgina was careless. She certainly didn't mean it!"

"Take her away. The Sterling family can't bear to have a brutal member who harms her family. How did I teach you guys? Take her back and make her remember. I don't want to see her face again," Burton commanded without looking at Georgina. After announcing his decision, he turned to Jason and asked with concern, "Is it serious? Does it hurt? How about I send you to the hospital?"

Georgina collapsed to the ground, devastated. No one, her father included, dared defy the old man.

She was finished!

If she was driven away, she would not be able to come back again. Unwilling to live with her uncle and his family, she sprang to her feet and tried to plead, but Nicolas quickly caught her and reprimanded her in a low voice, "Silent!"

Shaken by his stern voice, Georgina trembled and looked at him with pleading eyes, hoping he would put in a good word for her. But Nicolas frowned and refused to soften his heart. Instead, he looked at the oddly-shaped Jason and softened his voice. "Jason's injury could be serious. We should take him to the hospital. It's my fault for failing to discipline Georgina. I didn't expect her to be so reckless and cause Jason to get hurt."

Jason hummed indifferently. "Well, Dr. Auther said that it would depend on my recovery."

Burton became even more distressed when he heard that. "I remember a doctor in our hospital who specializes in dermatology. Let her take a look at you!" He turned his head and glared at Nicolas. "Get out of my face! I don't want to see her again!"
