Heidi knew Janice was someone who truly dared to take action.
She stood up, full of caution. "You… If you hit me again, I'll call the police!"
Today, Heidi had deliberately gathered a few of her former colleagues to put Janice in her place. She refused to believe that without Edward present, Janice would still dare to be so audacious.
"What do you want? I'm warning you, we all know Mrs. Moore—"
Elowen, who had just insulted Janice, took a few steps back in fear.
With her height advantage, plus the heels she wore, Janice's presence completely overpowered the women in their pristine white coats.
She lifted her chin at Heidi but addressed the others, saying, "If something happens between me and her, can you afford the consequences?"
"W-What?"
Janice pressed on, "Being used as a pawn—is that something to be proud of?"
Heidi's eyes widened. "Stop twisting things! You—"
"I don't even know them, yet they immediately attacked me. That can only be because of you. So, are they prepared to bear the responsibility of offending me—and in turn, Prosper Stitch Group—because of you?"
Janice smiled. "If they are, then I suppose we should get acquainted."
She formally introduced herself to Elowen, "I'm Janice Smith, CEO of the crochet department at Prosper Stitch Group."
She extended a hand toward the dumbfounded group, her expression warm and friendly.
Heidi's former colleagues were at a loss.
A handshake?
"Since you've chosen to join her in making trouble for me, I should at least remember your names, right?" Janice smiled. "Well? Time for your introductions?"
