Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 219

Zedrick could be sure that Heidi was Shirley! It was one thing for Heidi to lie to them; there was no reason for Heidi to lie to people around her, right?

Perhaps Heidi had avoided discussing the topic because she wanted to hide her real identity as Shirley from them.

The more Zedrick thought about it, the more he believed his guess was true.

After Amelia left, Zedrick ordered his men to treat Heidi's wounds. Then, he brought Heidi to his study.

She took her seat fearfully. Then, she saw someone carry crochet items into the study. They were later placed in front of her.

Zedrick personally walked up to her. "How about this? Crochet something that satisfies me, and I'll set you free. I've made a compromise, so you'd better grab your chance!"

Crochet a piece to Zedrick's satisfaction, and she'd regain freedom?

Eager to live, Heidi nodded immediately. "Sure!"

Although her arm was broken, she could still crochet at a slower speed.

Zedrick smiled when Heidi nodded at him. But he felt a little doubtful because Heidi didn't look the same as her past self. Perhaps she had gotten some minor plastic surgery.

"You have three days."

"Three days is not enough!" Heidi gasped.

Even if her arm was working fine, she couldn't produce a crochet piece in three days.

"You don't have to complete it. Just finish crocheting part of it."

He wanted to ascertain Heidi's skills. If Heidi was exceptionally good at crocheting, it didn't matter whether or not she was Shirley.

Anyone who tried to spread rumors about Onley Group would be promptly dealt with.

Amelia pressed the button for her floor. She then sneered at Simon, "You look rather pale. You should get a health check-up when you have the time."

Elsie posed like a victor. "Ms. Burnett, don't be mad. It was an amicable breakup, wasn't it?"

Simon merely stared at Amelia. He couldn't muster a word.

Before the elevator doors slid shut, Amelia shot them an ambiguous smile that made their hearts skip a beat.

On their way to register Simon's company, a wave of unease washed over Elsie. "Simon, you didn't sleep with Amelia, did you?"

He frowned. "No!"

He felt thankful for dodging that bullet.

Elsie looked relieved. "Good."
