Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 248

"There's no rush!" Celine chuckled. "I'll wait as long as you want."

"Alright," Janice replied.

They clinked their glasses one last time. Celine reminded her, "Don't forget to attend the banquet."

"I won't."

Just then, the door to the private room swung open.

Out in the hallway, Simon snapped his head around. His gaze locked on Janice like a predator catching sight of its prey. His eyes burned with intensity.

Janice walked Celine to the hotel entrance and gestured for the driver to take her first.

Celine hugged her briefly before stepping into the car and leaving.

Janice's bodyguards stood silently nearby, waiting for her command. But she wasn't in a hurry to leave. She knew that Simon would come looking for her. The moment the thought crossed her mind, hurried footsteps echoed behind her.

She didn't turn around.

Her bodyguards moved immediately, blocking Simon in his tracks.

What caught Janice off guard was that Simon didn't say a single word. He simply fought against them, trying with all his might to break free and get closer to her. The curses she expected to hear never came.

Janice finally turned around.

Simon's face was flushed red, and his bloodshot eyes were locked on her as if he wanted to tear her apart.

"Janice," he said, his voice hoarse and strained.

She stood there, calmly watching him unravel.

"Janice!" he called her name over and over again.
