Simon could scream all he wanted. At this point, it was meaningless.
Zedrick walked down the stairs and glanced at the pathetic mess that was Simon. "Let him be. At the very least, he'll be an annoyance to Janice and Edward."
The moment the bodyguards stopped, Simon scrambled toward Zedrick. He grinned ear to ear like a deranged lunatic. "Mr. Jovarek, you have to help me! Janice owes my family a life! That means she has to do whatever I ask of her. If she refuses, I'll go to the media. I'll tell them she schemed behind my back while we were dating and that she's a manipulative woman."
Zedrick had seen some disgusting people in his life. But Simon was truly something else. The fact that he was breathing the same air as this guy made him want to puke.
"Get the hell away from me."
But Simon didn't care as his mind was already spiraling into delusions of grandeur, picturing the glorious life that awaited him. He straightened his back while laughing. "Haha! Janice is something else."
Zedrick shot him a sideways glance. "Should I remind you that you're a suspected HIV carrier and medically confirmed to be infertile? Anyone would have to be a damn idiot to get involved with you now."
Simon fell silent as his face was drained of color. For a brief moment, he had considered forcing Janice to have a child with him. That way, she'd be tied to him forever. But now… that was impossible… The realization hit him like a truck, and he trembled with rage.
He would demand money from Janice tomorrow. She owed his family a life. She should spend her entire existence making it up to them!
Once Simon was finally gone, Louis scoffed. "I can't stand this kind of trash, Zedrick. Now that we know Janice is Shirley, we don't need him anymore."
Zedrick immediately caught on. Louis wanted to get rid of Simon.
"We're still in Cruznia," he reminded him.
Louis smirked. "Wasn't he planning to go abroad for treatment?"
"If you get rid of him, you'll be doing Janice and Edward a favor. Since when were you this charitable?" Zedrick scoffed, raising an eyebrow.
Louis rolled his eyes. "Keeping him around is more of a headache for me than it is for them. You should send him to the Prosper Stitch Group and let them deal with him."
Zedrick mulled over it for a second. "Given Prosper Stitch Group's current influence and trajectory in the country, making an enemy of them is not a wise move. It's much better to maintain a friendly relationship for now. The domestic raw material supply is tight now. Let's offer it to them at a low price as a gesture of goodwill.
"I also heard their products are being sold abroad but at relatively low prices. Invest some money to undercut their rates. Then use that as leverage to negotiate a business collaboration with them."
