Chapter 52 

Niamh explained her situation over the past few months abroad in detail to Billie. The more Billie listened, the more her expression shifted to one of utter disbelief. 

Although Billie was a professional lawyer and usually very busy, she enjoyed reading novels in her free time. To her, Niamh’s dramatic experiences felt like something straight out of a novel! 

“He was your uncle?” Billie asked. 

“Yes, the man you saw in the reports who was with me is actually my uncle,” Niamh replied. 

“Didn’t Castiel know about this?” 

“If he had known, he probably wouldn’t have made a move on my uncle 

abroad.” 

“Then why didn’t you clarify? Isn’t it bad to have such a misunderstanding?” 

“It is bad, but if this misunderstanding speeds up the divorce process between him and me, then it’s somewhat beneficial. I just didn’t expect it…” 

Even after everything, Castiel still refused to consent to the divorce. 

Billie took a moment to process the shocking news. It was simply staggering. 

Niamh hadn’t expected it, either. In her previous life, she had never known she had an uncle. Perhaps it was mercy from above. 

In the end, she gained a new family member in this world. In her previous life, she had nothing. 

Originally, Castiel was her everything After losing him, she felt she had nothing left in this world. 

“You’ve just been betrayed by Castiel and now you’ve found your uncle, who is such a formidable figure. You don’t even need my protection!” Billie 

said. To her, Simon was indeed a remarkable figure. 

“Titan International Corporation? Samuel Smith, who handles financial cases at my firm, has an uncle there. His annual salary is in the millions, and your uncle is the chairman?” Billie asked, looking at Niamh with admiration. 

Niamh pinched her cheek and said, “Alright, stop looking at me like that.” 

“You’re my idol, okay?” Billie said. She was always serious, but now she was just as seriously enthusiastic! 

She poured out all her past frustrations about Renee, saying, “If your mother–in–law knew you were the niece of the chairman of Titan 

International Corporation, she’d be fawning all over you. She wouldn’t dare make you serve her, and instead, she’d pamper you!” 

Niamh didn’t respond, and Billie continued, “You should definitely let her know. It would be a great slap in the face!” 

Billie was really curious to see Renee’s reaction upon learning that Niamh was actually a relative of the chairman of a famous overseas company. 

However, Niamh’s expression changed upon hearing this. She grabbed Billie’s hand and said, “Don’t spread this around. No one knows about it right now.” 

“Why not?” Billie asked. 

“It’s because I don’t want to be involved with them.” She was eager to end everything and wasn’t interested in knowing how Renee and the others would react. 

Billie agreed, considering that if Castiel still loved her, her current status in the Jamison family could be useful.
