Chapter 53 

Even if Niamh had a child, they would still want to get rid of it. They were always intent on driving her away. 

Now, they could have what they wished for. 

When she first lost a child, she had known about it, but she never 

mentioned it in front of Castiel. Looking back, she realized how foolish that 

was. 

They would never accept her. Never could they. 

Since Billie was no longer handling Niamh’s matters, she directly switched her legal representation to Cedric. 

With Billie out of the picture, she would naturally return to work at the firm, and this news quickly made its way to Castiel. 

The next day, Niamh met with Quinn at an office Quinn had arranged, located next to Castiel’s Jamison Group building. 

Castiel’s company occupied an entire building, whereas Niamh’s office was just one floor, as she only had a small studio. 

“The relevant documents are being processed,” Quinn told Niamh. “You have two client meetings this afternoon and one tomorrow.” 

“Okay, I got it,” Niamh replied, nodding. 

Quinn continued, “I’ve received a lot of orders, but since our team is just starting to form, we still need to work out some kinks. I’ve filtered the orders for you, so there’s no need to rush.” 

“Thanks,” Niamh said. She was pleased that they were getting orders so quickly right from the start and had no doubt that Quinn had some clear capabilities. 

In just two days in Greenburg, they were already receiving a lot of orders. It 

was evident that Quinn had done considerable preparation before she arrived. 

The start was much smoother than Niamh had anticipated. 

In the afternoon, as Niamh was about to meet a client with Quinn, she saw Castiel’s car pull up and watched him get out as they were leaving the office building. 

Niamh tried to avoid him, but Castiel had already spotted her and was walking toward her. His refined demeanor conveyed a cold, aloof 

presence. 

Even against the backlight, Niamh could clearly see the darkness in his 

eyes. 

“What are you doing here?” Castiel’s tone was harsh as he reached her. Apparently, his demeanor was a result of how tumultuous things had been lately. 

Niamh had moved out of Maplewood. Every time she returned to that cold, empty place, her frustration grew. 

“Looking for a job?” Castiel’s tone grew more impatient when Niamh didn’t 

answer. 

Niamh looked at him and said, “Yes!” 

As soon as she said that, Castiel’s anger was palpable. He grabbed her wrist and said, “Come with me.”
