Chapter 62
Fun of the clown wanted to terminate their contract, it had to be because they were displeased with the designs provided by Miami’s company However, Niamh hadn’t even submitted the final designs. So, why had the client made such an abrupt decision?
The client spoke up on the other end of the call. “Apologies, M. Weaver. didn’t realize you were the wife to the Jamison family’s heir before. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have dared to hire an esteemed figure like yourself.”
“You’re too kind,” Niamh curtly responded. At that rate, she more or less knew this was Castiel’s doing.
Castiel’s original plan was to prevent Niamh from getting hired. Yet, who could have imagined his orders would affect her ability to collaborate with other companies, too?
The call eventually ended, and Quinn spoke before Niamh could say anything, “It’s fine. We still have plenty of clients!”
She spoke with an arrogant tone, which put Niamh slightly at ease.
Niamh knew things would become difficult for her now that Castiel was intervening. That was also why she had to secure the chance to design for Leopardbite Intl. After all, that company was equally as powerful as Castiel in Greenburg.
Companies operating on a smaller scale than Leopardbite Intl. would do as Castiel ordered. However, the CEO of Leopardbite Intl., Blake, whom Niamh met that day, was unlikely to be influenced by others.
“What’s on your mind?” Quinn asked upon seeing how quiet Niamh was.
“Mr. Field is unlikely to be influenced by others, right?” Niamh voiced the question on her mind.
Quinn raised an eyebrow in confusion at Niamh. “Don’t you know?”
“Know what?”

“Mr. Field and the Jamison Group have always been at odds. So, whether we secure this job with Leopardbite Intl, depends on our capabilities.”
Niamh froze. She hadn’t heard about the companies being at odds before. That said, she knew that Blake and Castiel weren’t friends. Otherwise, why hadn’t she seen the men interact in the many years she was with Castiel?
“That’s good to hear.” Niamh finally sighed in relief once Quinn assured her of that.
She needed to work harder these next few days and apply everything she learned from her months abroad. She wouldn’t need to worry anymore if she could secure the collaboration with Leopardbite Intl.
With that thought, Niamh busied herself with her career.
Things on Castiel’s end were also overwhelming.
Lucian showed Castiel the design drafts for Linden Grove’s bidding, which would happen in three days. Castiel was displeased with all the designs and ordered, “Have them redesign everything at once.”
That rendered Lucian speechless.
“What fucking garbage designs!”
Castiel seldom cursed. No matter how poorly his subordinates performed, he would only respond with silence. Yet, this time, he insulted them
without restraint.
Lucian stiffened before picking up the designs off the floor. “Alright. That said, Mr. Jamison, you should at least let them know your preferences and opinions so they-”
“Did they not go to the location and scope it out themselves? If that’s the case, our company’s design department should be scrapped!” Castiel sounded stern–there was no room for convincing him otherwise.
Lucian knew Castiel was too deep in his anger at that moment, so there was nothing he could say to him. That made things difficult. It seemed the
