Burned Once, Never Again (Niamh and Castiel) novel Chapter 75

Chapter 75

To Sienna and Macy, Castiel had lived a pampered life within the Jamison family. If Niamh made a fuss, he would surely lose his patience

In the eyes of the Jamison family, Niamh had always been a very respectable woman over the years. She had used her gentle tactics to keep Castiel’s heart

Sienna had thought that with Macywho was even more gentle and understanding than Niamhcoming into the picture, their relationship would be completely over. To her surprise, despite Niamh’s dramatic behavior, Castiel still had no intention of letting go

Sienna was running out of patience

Macy stated, I’ve done all that I can. The pressure from you and your mom doesn’t seem to have worked.”

What do you mean by that?Sienna retorted

Nothing,Macy responded to Sienna with a hint of defiance

Seeing Macy’s disrespectful attitude, Sienna’s tone turned colder. Macy, hope you remember your place. Once this matter is resolved, you should leave for abroad. You’ll get exactly what you deserve

If you dare to have any other intentions, don’t blame me for being harsh.”

As she spoke, her tone carried a strong hint of warning

Macy’s already dark expression grew even darker in response to Sienna’s words, and a glint of disdain flashed in her eyes

Instead of answering Sienna’s question directly, she asked, After Niamh is gone, what’s your plan for getting together with him?”

That’s none of your concern. I have my plans,Sienna said before hanging up

Macy’s expression grew even colder when the call ended. She thought that

Sienna was merely an adopted daughter of the Jamison family. Even without Niamh and her, it was absurd for Sienna to think she could be with Castiel

Renee would never accept Niamh or her. Such a traditional family like them would be even less likely to accept their adopted daughter

What makes you think I’ll team up

you given your limited abilities? The more Macy thought about it, the more she looked down on Sienna. She threw her phone onto the bed, tossed the towel aside, and ran her fingers through her long hair

Her face revealed none of the posttreatment weakness or need for rest that the doctor had spoken of. Instead, it radiated her distinct and captivating elegance

There was a ding as the elevator doors opened

Niamh tried to shake off Castiel’s grip, but he firmly pulled her out of the elevator. As Niamh continued to struggle, Castiel’s strong arms wrapped around her slender waist, leaving her no chance to escape

Niamh looked at Castiel and remarked, Do you think that by forcefully bringing me up here, I’ll apologize to her? Dream on!”

Instead of being forceful, Castiel said in a very composed tone, Wait until you’ve met her first.”

Since Macy was brought back, Niamh hadn’t seen her even once

At that moment, Castiel still believed Niamh was kindhearted and that her actions were just a momentary impulse. He was confident that once she saw Macy, she would change her mind

Nevertheless, she needed to deal with the consequences on her own

Although he’d be reluctant to see her face a severe punishment, an apology was inevitable

Niamh glared at Castiel angrily
