Chapter 0019
“Huh? I wasn’t…” Allen’s eyes darted away. “I just didn’t sleep well. What did you sa about me going to the Harlows?”
Suzy
handed him a small medicine bottle. “Take this medicine to Claude.”
Allen raised an eyebrow. “What’s it for?”
“It’s for his legs.”
“His legs?” Allen frowned. “You think there’s a cure for that?”
“There wasn’t before, but there will be now.”
For a long time, Suzy had been secretly working on a way to help heal Claude’s leg.
His injury, caused by that terrible accident, had damaged his nerves, and the hatred from his parents had prevented them from getting him proper treatment, leading to his permanent paralysis.
While Claude had come to terms with his condition long ago, Suzy knew he still dreamed of standing on his own two feet again.
No matter what it took, she was determined to make that happen.
Claude was all she had left–her brother in every way that counted, even if they didn’t share the same blood.
He treated her the same way her three late brothers had–with love, protection, and unwavering loyalty.
To Suzy, Claude was more than family.
He was a lifeline, carrying the weight of all her love for the brothers she had lost.
After breakfast, Suzy gathered her things, ready to head out.
Allen opened his mouth to mention something but held back.
He still hadn’t told her he had sent someone to break Dylan’s legs.
The whole night had passed without any word from his guy, which meant the plan had likely failed.
Not only had they missed the chance, but if Dylan started investigating…
The more Allen thought about it, the worse his headache became.
No point dwelling on it–he couldn’t change the past. He’d just have to deal with whatever
came next.

At Gold Eagle Heights, Suzy sat in the private room, wearing a silver mask, waiting for
Anne.
The other woman arrived right on time.
As soon as Anne stepped through the door, she asked, “Are you Red Falcon?”
“That’s me.”
Anne looked Suzy up and down. “You can really cure me?”
“Why don’t you sit down and we’ll find out?” Suzy gestured to the chair beside her. “Let me check o
your condition first.”
Anne took a seat but then said, “This poison… I don’t want you to detox it just yet…”
Suzy paused. “You’re not afraid of dying?”
“Of course I am,” Anne replied, putting on a facade of deep emotion.
“But there’s something I fear even more–losing him. He’s the only man I’ve ever loved, aside from my father. I dream of being with him. But three years ago, someone took him
from me. I’ve lost him once already, and I can’t bear to lose him again.”
away
Suzy raised an eyebrow. “So, what are you asking me to do?”
Anne leaned in, her voice dropping. “I need you to tell Dylan that even you can’t cure this poison. The only way to save me… is for him to sleep with me.”
Suzy stared at her, momentarily speechless.
