Chapter 0209
Hawk’s move not only startled Dylan but also gave Suzy a scare.
Especially as his face came closer and closer.
Just as Suzy prepared to cut the act short and end the performance, a fist carrying a menacing chill suddenly shot toward Hawk.
Hawk swiftly dodged to the side and glanced unhappily at Dylan. “Mr. Wright, I’m comforting my girlfriend. If you don’t want to watch, you can leave. Don’t you think it’s rather rude to interfere like this?”
“Claude, let me warn you–if you dare touch her again, I’ll make your life a living hell!”
His intent to kill was impossible to conceal.
Dylan had never felt so driven to kill anyone as he did at this moment.
“Correction–I’m Caleb. And she’s my girlfriend. Don’t you think you’re overstepping a bit, Mr. Wright?”
Hawk wasn’t intimidated by Dylan’s threat; instead, he continued provoking him.
Since talking to him was clearly getting nowhere, Dylan stopped wasting his breath and threw another punch straight at Hawk’s face.
Hawk quickly ducked behind Suzy and shouted, “Sweetheart, save me!”
Suzy was left speechless.
Good grief, this disgusting acting–it really made her want to abandon the script.
Although she found Hawk’s behavior revolting, Suzy decided to see the act through. With a blank expression, she said to Dylan, “Dylan, this isn’t the place for you to lose your temper.”
“You’re defending him?” Dylan’s eyes instantly turned crimson, blood vessels bursting one by one. “Do you have any idea that he’s lying to you?”
“Like I said, what does that have to do with you?” Suzy’s tone turned icy: “Whether he’s Claude or Caleb, it’s between him and me. It’s none of your business, ex–husband.”
She pointed to the door. “Get out.”
“You’re actually kicking me out?” Dylan felt his heart shatter into countless pieces, the pain making it hard for him to even breathe.
Suzy seemed indifferent to the anguish on his face, her words colder still. “You barged in uninvited.”

Dylan gritted his teeth against the pain. “You trust him that much?”
“You sure talk a lot!” Suzy, thoroughly exasperated, walked to her desk and pressed the intercom button. “Send a few security guards up to clear out anyone who doesn’t belong here.”
