Chapter 0270
“Is that so?” Anne scrutinized Dylan’s every expression, searching for any sign of deceit. She found none.
Had she been overthinking it all along?
Smoothing her brows, she said, “Fine, but let’s discuss everything after the wedding,” “Sure.”
Dylan’s easy agreement made Anne’s suspicions waver even more. Perhaps she really was just being overly cautious.
After the wedding, she would consult with that person. Once she was married to Dylan, everything in the Wright family would belong to her.
The wedding proceeded as planned.
Every detail was exactly as Anne had demanded lavish, grand, and an unforgettable spectacle.
Anne’s parents, William and Helena, occupied the seats of honor. As for Grace and Diana- they were noticeably absent.
Anne didn’t mind. She hadn’t wanted them there anyway.
Wearing a custom–made wedding gown, Anne walked arm in arm with Dylan down the aisle. The moment her feet touched the red carpet, her heart swelled with excitement.
This was the moment she had dreamed of for so long, and now it was finally coming true.
Her hand brushed over her stomach, her smile radiant with happiness. So, what if the baby wasn’t Dylan’s? She could always give him another child later.
The truth was, if she hadn’t suffered so many miscarriages before, she wouldn’t have kept this child. Her doctor had warned her that losing another pregnancy could mean she’d never be able to have children again.
Otherwise, she’d have aborted this baby without a second thought–it wasn’t Dylan’s, and keeping it could create complications.
Still, it didn’t matter now. If Dylan ever rejected the child, she could always dump it on her mother to raise it. For now, keeping the baby was the safest option.
The couple walked down the aisle, reaching the officiant at the end of the red carpet.
After reciting the long string of ceremonial blessings, the officiant turned to Dylan. “Mr. Wright, do you take Miss Anne Wheeler to be your wife? To have and to hold, in wealth or

poverty, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?”
Anne gazed at Dylan with anticipation, her heart pounding as she waited for his answer. But two minutes passed, and he said nothing, ils lips pressed into a firm line.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Anne asked in a hurried whisper, panic creeping into
her voice.
Dylan lowered his gaze to her. “The person behind you–is it Charlotte Frost?”
Anne froze, her expression shifting to shock.
“Aren’t you afraid
“You’re doing this on purpose!” she hissed, finally realizing his ga
game. “Aren’t you I’ll do something to Suzy again?”
“You’d have to manage to contact your partner first.” Dylan’s voice remained calm, his question unrelenting. “I’ll ask you one last time–is it Charlotte Frost?”
