Chapter 0283
Chapter 0283
“According to reports, during the bridge collapse, Wright Corporation CEO Dylan Wright’s vehicle was among those affected. Recovery efforts are currently underway…”
Suzy saw the news just as she returned to the Harlow estate from work and was about to sit down for dinner.
The notification popped up on her phone. Without a second thought, she set her utensils down and walked toward the dining room door
There, she bumped into Hawk.
“Did my girlfriend come out just to greet me?”
“Move,” Suzy said curtly, too preoccupied to engage.
When he didn’t budge, she pushed him aside and continued toward the door.
Before she could take another step, her arm was grabbed.
Hawk’s expression darkened. “Where are you rushing off to?”
“Do I need to report my whereabouts to you?” she snapped, shaking his hand off and leaving in a hurry.
Watching her anxious departure, Hawk smirked coldly. “So much for not caring, huh?”
Suzy sped toward the Wright family estate, her heart racing.
Her concern wasn’t about Dylan himself but for Grace’s health. If something happened to Dylan, the old lady wouldn’t be able to bear it, especially with her already fragile condition.
Sure enough, Suzy’s fears were confirmed the moment she reached the estate. Before even stepping inside, she heard Diana’s tearful voice.
“Grandma, please wake up! We don’t even know if Dylan is alive or dead. If something happens to you too, what am I supposed to do?”
Suzy quickened her pace, almost running as she entered the house.
“Diana!”
Hearing her voice, Diana turned around, her tear–streaked face a mess. She spoke incoherently through sobs. “Sis, the moment Grandma heard about what happened to my brother, she fainted on the spot…”
Suzy quickly approached the couch where Grace was lying, glanced at her pale face, and placed a reassuring hand on Diana’s shoulder.

“Don’t worry. Grandma will be fine. She’s just overwhelmed. I’ll give her some treatment, and she’ll be back to herself in no time.”
“Mm, okay!”
After calming Diana down, Suzy quickly began examining Grace.
The fainting was indeed caused by emotional shock, but the situation wasn’t looking good. Grace’s blood pressure was already high, and such a blow only worsened her condition.
Suzy frowned and immediately began treatment. Using targeted pressure techniques, she worked quickly, and after a few moments, Grace finally regained consciousness.
The moment she opened her eyes and saw Suzy she grabbed her hand tightly. “Find Dylan. Go find him right away!”
As she spoke, her emotions surged again, and she nearly lost her breath.
“Grandma, please don’t worry,” Suzy said soothingly. “I’ve already sent people to look for him. He’ll be okay, I promise.”
