Suzy stood there for over ten minutes, scrutinizing Dylan’s face, but she didn’t notice anything unusual. If it was a disguise, she would have recognized it immediately. His skin was clearly natural, leaving no possibility that Claude had impersonated him. 

Still uneasy, Suzy waited until Dylan turned over in his sleep. She carefully checked the back of his head and behind his ears but found no traces of anything unusual. 

This wasn’t a trivial matter, so Suzy decided to hypnotize Dylan. 

The result was the same. She couldn’t find anything wrong with him. 

It seemed they had been overthinking things. 

Feeling relieved, Suzy finally left Dylan’s room as silently as she had entered. 

Moments after she left, Dylan, who had appeared fast asleep, suddenly opened his eyes. In the dim room, his dark gaze flickered with a chilling glint. 

Early the next morning. 

Dylan was up and moving around as if nothing had happened. Just as he opened the door, Suzy, about to knock, stumbled forward and fell right into his arms. 

Falling into his embrace so early in the morning left Suzy’s face instantly flushed, even though Dylan didn’t say a word. To make matters worse, he held her for a long moment, showing no intention of letting go. 

Suzy’s expression darkened. “Have you hugged enough?” 

Dylan replied with a serious tone, “No. A lifetime wouldn’t be enough.” 

Suzy forcefully broke free from his arms. “How’s your sleep last night?” 

She came to his room first thing to check if there were any symptoms during the latter half of the night. She hadn’t expected… this. 

For a moment, Suzy even suspected he had done it on purpose. But that couldn’t be the case. After all, he didn’t even know she had stayed at the Wright family residence last night. 

Just as she was lost in thought, Dylan leaned closer and asked softly by her ear, “Did you stay here last night, or did you come back early this morning?” 

“What do you think? Even though you ended up like this because of me, you’re not important enough for me to travel back and forth so early in the morning.” 

“Important?” Dylan raised an eyebrow. “So, I do hold some place in your heart?”
