“How’s that brat doing?”
“Sis, is my brother okay?”
Seeing the worry written all over Grace and Diana’s faces, Suzy quickly smiled to reassure them. “Just a minor issue and it’s already resolved. With me here, what’s there to worry about?”
As she spoke, Suzy gently supported Grace by the arm. “It’s getting late, and your blood pressure tends to spike. You should go to bed.”
“And what about you?” Grace glanced at the clock hanging opposite the staircase. “It’s already past two. By the time you get back, it’ll nearly be dawn. Just stay here and rest.”
Diana chimed in, “Yes, please stay, Sister. I haven’t seen you in so long, and I have so much to talk to you about. Stay with me tonight, okay?”
Faced with Diana’s eager expression, Suzy couldn’t bring herself to refuse. Besides, it really was late. She nodded in agreement. “Alright.”
In fact, staying wasn’t a bad idea. Although Dylan’s toxins had been temporarily suppressed with her treatment, it was only a short–term fix. If something went wrong again…
With that thought, Suzy realized Dylan couldn’t stay at the Wright family estate any longer. Sooner or later, Grace and Diana would learn about his illness.
She decided to discuss it with him in the morning, suggesting he move to Bayview Heights with Desmond by his side to monitor him and call her if anything happened.
Later, in Diana’s room, Suzy took a quick shower. Treating Dylan earlier had made her break into a nervous sweat.
When she came out, Diana was already lying in bed, waiting for her. Lifting the covers, Suzy climbed in and spoke first. “Diana, you said you had a lot to tell me earlier. What is it?”
Diana hesitated for a moment before speaking. “Sister, I just feel like my brother… isn’t the same as he used to be.”
“What do you mean?”
Not the same?
Why didn’t she feel that way?
Wasn’t he still the same Dylan? Especially his habit of seizing every chance to confess. He

“I can’t quite explain it. Maybe I’m overthinking, or perhaps everything he’s been through lately has been too much for him. He’s become even quieter than before.”
She continued, “For a couple of days, he’s been shutting himself in his room, only coming out for meals, and he barely talks to Grandma or me. He used to at least say a few words to Grandma, even if he didn’t like talking to me. But now, he doesn’t even acknowledge her…”
Suzy’s gaze darkened slightly. “Like you said, it’s probably because of everything that’s happened recently. He’s just exhausted. Give him some time to adjust, and he’ll get better.”
