Despite her shouting and threats, no one came out. 

Selena was nowhere to be seen. 

“Our lady really isn’t here,” the gatekeeper insisted, hurrying after them. “Miss Whitmore, if you don’t believe me, you can check her travel records at the airport. If it’s urgent, I can call her and let her know you’re looking for her.” 

Maya frowned deeply. “Could she really not be here?” 

If Selena were home, Maya’s harsh words would have surely provoked her. Knowing Selena’s temper, she wouldn’t have been able to resist coming out. The fact that she hadn’t likely meant she truly wasn’t home. 

And if Selena wasn’t here, then the man Suzy was searching for… 

Noticing the pensive look on Maya’s face, Suzy stepped closer and asked, “What’s your connection to Selena? Why do you think she might be behind this?”
