Chapter 0447
Suzy’s words rekindled a glimmer of hope in Dylan, but escaping from this place was far easier said than done, especially with his body covered in injuries.
“Don’t bother!” Dylan said sharply. “Suzy, if you’re saying this out of gratitude, then spare me! Yes, I want to be with you again, but only if it’s because you truly want it, not out of pity or obligation!”
“Dylan Wright, don’t think I don’t know what’s going on in that mind of yours!” Suzy shot back, seeing through him instantly. “If you don’t want the two of us to die here, stop wasting time with this nonsense!”
“I…” Dylan was momentarily silenced by her stubbornness. “You foolish woman, I’m not worth it!”
“You’re right–you’re absolutely not worth it!” Suzy rolled her eyes at him. “Didn’t I already tell you? I came to save you for Grandma and Diana, so stop flattering yourself!”
Dylan opened his mouth as if to argue further, but Suzy cut him off before he could get a word out. “If you’ve got nothing useful to say, then keep quiet and focus on getting us out of here!”
Dylan fell silent.
Suzy pulled out her phone and quickly called Allen. “Sending you my location. Get here within ten minutes!”
Outwardly, it looked like she was relying on Victor for help, but in reality, she had Allen on standby the entire time. At most, he was ten minutes away.
Barely moments after Suzy made the call, the roar of helicopters filled the air outside. From beyond the door came the muffled curses of the man in black. “Damn it! You had backup this whole time!”
Suzy raised her voice confidently. “It’ll take more than this to bring me down!”
“Allen!”
“Here!”
“No one leaves alive!”
“Understood!”
Gunfire and the sounds of combat erupted outside as chaos unfolded. Moments later, a helicopter smashed through the roof of the burning building, extracting Suzy and Dylan from the inferno.

Ashbourne City, Hillside Villa
Suzy didn’t take Dylan back to the Wright family estate.
With his body riddled with injuries, there was no way she could let Grace see him in this condition.
For now, they had to focus on Dylan’s recovery. But his injuries weren’t something that could heal overnight. The damage to his tendons in both his hands and feet was severe. If not treated properly, there was a real possibility he could be left permanently disabled.
This must have been exactly what Claude intended.
Believing it was all orchestrated by Claude, Suzy was surprised when Allen told her, “Boss, those men might not have been working for Claude.”
