Chapter 0535
After Helena left, Suzy couldn’t help but imagine Dylan’s face turning green with frustration, and the thought instantly brightened her mood.
That would teach him a lesson about throwing his attitude her way!
She was just about to head for a shower when her phone buzzed. It was Simon.
“Brother, why are you still up so late?” Suzy teased. “Newlywed life must be keeping you busy, but don’t neglect my sister–in–law! The continuation of the Frost family legacy depends on you now. Whether I get to be an aunt anytime soon is entirely in your hands!” “You little rascal,” Simon chuckled indulgently. “You’re getting bolder by the day, teasing your older brother like this.”
His tone softened as he continued, “By the way, the weather tomorrow still looks bad. Don’t rush to leave, okay?”
“Got it!” Suzy replied sweetly. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything.”
“I heard Helena came to see you all?”
And there it was–the real reason Simon had called.
“Let me tell you something,” he said, his voice carrying a hint of concern. “Even though Helena was manipulated by Serena all those years, she’s still someone you need to keep an eye on.”
“I know,” Suzy said, unable to stifle a laugh. “Brother, is there anything you’re not worried about?”
“Of course not,” Simon admitted easily. “After everything that’s happened, it’s hard to trust anyone completely in this world.”
“I get it,” Suzy replied, her tone reassuring. “But don’t worry. Right now, besides you, there’s no one I trust… oh, and your wife!”
Actually, there was one more person she trusted–Dylan. But that wasn’t something she
felt Simon needed to know.
The siblings chatted for a bit longer until Suzy heard a knock at the door.
“Brother, someone’s at the door. I’ll go check. It’s late. You should get some rest and spend time with your wife!”
“You know it’s late, so who’s knocking at this hour?” Simon asked suspiciously.
“Probably Allen,” Suzy replied. “I asked him earlier to investigate something for me.”
“Is it about Father?”

“Yes,” Suzy replied. “I’ve found some clues and asked him to verify them to see if they’re legit.”
“Alright. If there’s any news, send it to me immediately.”
“Got it.”
After hanging up, Suzy didn’t think twice before heading to the door. When she opened it and saw Dylan sitting there, she raised an eyebrow. “What’s this? The medicine didn’t work, so you’ve come to exchange it?”
Dylan’s gaze was dark and unreadable as he stared at her, saying nothing. Without a word, he rolled his wheelchair forward, forcing his way inside.
Suzy, who had been standing in the doorway, didn’t plan to let him in. But seeing that he was about to ram her knee with the wheelchair and had no intention of stopping, she had no choice but to step back.
One step after another, she retreated into the room. Dylan, meanwhile, wheeled himself in, closing the door behind him with a flick of his hand.
