Chapter 0067
The intruder was none other than Anne’s moller, Helena Fox, with the reception/s/ panting behind her. “Mr. Wright, she slipped past security, and I couldn’t stop her!”
Diana, ready to apologize for bumping into her quickly switched gears when she realized
who it was.
“What are you doing here? Don’t tell me Anne finally took her life because her scheme failed and you’re here to deliver the bad news. Well, sorry to disappoint, but my brother’s got nothing to do with her anymore… Not that he ever did, actually. So, whether she’s alive or dead, that’s your family’s problem.”
Diana’s mocking jone didn’t deter Helena in the least.
Ignoring her entirely, Helena pushed past, calling out as she hurried toward Dylan, “Mr. Wright, please please see my daughter. She’s locked herself in her room and hasn’t eaten or had a sip of water for days.”
Before Helena could get any closer, Diana stepped in her path again.
“Ma’am, do you even hear yourself?” Diana scoffed. “If your daughter’s on a hunger strike, maybe you should be talking sense into her, not dragging my brother into it. And let me repeat myself your daughter has no connection to him anymore. Whatever she’s doing is her own business.”
Helena snapped back, “How can it be unrelated? My daughter is in this state because of him! Three years ago, she saved his life at the cost of her own reputation. He promised to marry her, but then he went and married someone else.
“Even then, she followed him without asking for anything in return. Three years, and now, because of one word from him, she’s ready to throw away her life!”

“Oh, poor her, is it?” Diana’s voice grew louder, drowning out Helena’s protests. “So, she
my brother, did she? And just how conveniently timed was it that she was there to save him at all? For all we know, she set up the whole situation.”
She turned to Dylan, who’d remained silent through it all. “You’ve been looking for that person behind it all these years, haven’t you? Well, maybe it was Anne from the start, playing you from day one.”
Diana didn’t care if there was any truth to it. As far as she was concerned, pinning the blame on Anne would ensure she never had a chance to turn things around.
“No, no, it’s not like that…” Helena quickly defended herself. “Mr. Wright, you misunderstand. Anne didn’t deceive you; she’s a good girl and would never lie. This is all a setup–someone’s deliberately framing her.”
“Framing?” Diana scoffed. “And who might that be? Don’t tell me you and your daughter

“It’s not Miss Frost–it’s my stepdaughter.”
