Chapter 0068
“Whether it was the earlier kidnapping involving Miss Frost, the secret poisoning of Anne, or the recent staged abduction that implicated Miss Frost–all of it was orchestrated by Lillian,” Helena stated, her voice unwavering
Diana scrutinized Helena’s face, noting that despite her nearly fifty years, she still retained a certain elegance.
But her expression betrayed nothing–no anxiety, no guilt.
She appeared completely at ease.
Either everything she’d said was the truth, or her acting skills were remarkable. Diana preferred to believe the latter; she wasn’t about to buy into Anne’s innocence.
Just as Diana opened her mouth to speak, Dylan cut in. “Are you finished?”
Diana looked at her brother, astonished. “Had he finally stopped being blinded by love?”
Helena seemed equally stunned, while Diana fought the urge to smirk.
Helena, clearly taken aback by Dylan’s indifference, pressed on, “Mr. Wright, I swear, every word is true. You can come to my house now if you want–Lillian is locked up there.”
Her face turned sorrowful as she continued, “I raised her as my own, spared no effort or expense in taking her to the best doctors worldwide. I barely spent any time with Anne, and I had no idea she was faking all this time.”
Her words carried a note of genuine sadness, and Diana, wary of Dylan showing any sympathy, firmly escorted her toward the door. “Whether she was faking it or not, that’s your family matter. You’ve said your piece, now please leave. My brother has work to finish.”
“But… Mr. Wright, are you really going to abandon Anne? She’s truly innocent and hasn’t done a single thing wrong…” Helena pleaded as Diana continued to usher her out.
“It doesn’t matter if she’s guilty or not. It’s got nothing to do with my brother,” Diana replied flatly.
Just then, she noticed Anne standing by the doorway, her face pale as a ghost, cheeks sunken and hollow. The sight of her sudden appearance was chilling.
Diana frowned, about to speak, but Anne beat her to it.
“Mr. Dylan… is it true?” Anne’s voice quivered as she moved toward him, stopping just a step away and fixing her gaze on him. “Even after knowing none of this was my doing, you still refuse to believe me?”
Dylan’s face remained emotionless. “It’s over between us.”

Chapter 0068
Anne’s face crumpled as tears began to fall. “So, even if I’m innocent, you don’t want me anymore?”
Diana stepped in, her tone sharp. “Didn’t he make himself clear? Do you think you can continue to cling to my brother after bringing in a scapegoat? He’s Dylan Wright, CEO of Wright Corporation, a legend in the business world! Did you really think he’d fall for some staged sob story?”
Anne didn’t respond, her eyes flashing with a finality that made Diana pause.
