It turned out the man hadn’t died at all—Claude hid him away from the world.
This revelation painted Claude in a slightly less villainous light.
Perhaps he wasn’t entirely heartless, still holding on to some semblance of brotherly affection.
But if Claude had hidden him, then who managed to find him?
Whoever it was must have known Claude intimately; otherwise, it would have been impossible to discover that someone presumed dead for years was actually alive.
Suzy wracked her brain, trying to think of anyone who might know Claude better than she did. The only name that came to mind was Charlotte.
Charlotte was Claude’s partner in crime for years, privy to almost everything about him. But she was long dead.
Could she have set all of this in motion before her death?
It seemed like the most plausible explanation.

Almost everyone connected to Charlotte was uncovered.
But was there someone Suzy had overlooked?
She thought hard but couldn’t pinpoint anyone.
Still, knowing the link to Charlotte made things a bit clearer.
Calling Allen into the room, Suzy gave a direct order. "Go through everyone connected to Charlotte again. Leave no stone unturned."
Allen nodded. "Already on it. The moment we realized the man was Claude’s brother, I sent people to investigate further."
Suzy felt a pang of guilt. "Allen, I’m sorry. You’re the one Riley really needs right now, yet I keep burdening you with everything else..."
