When Suzy saw the hand reaching for her, her first thought was that Dylan had sent someone after her. After publicly embarrassing him like that, there was no way he’d let it slide, so he’d likely dispatched someone to tail her. 

Eyes flashing with determination, she seized the hand, ready to flip her assailant over her shoulder. Though she moved quickly, her opponent was no amateur. He swiftly broke free from her grip and retaliated with an attack. 

Clearly, Dylan had hired someone skilled for the job, but even so, he was still no match for her. 

Suzy held back, watching for weaknesses. It didn’t take long to spot his flaw: his stance was unstable. 

She shifted her focus to his lower body, exploiting the imbalance. Just as she was about to deliver a decisive blow, he suddenly pulled a razor–sharp knife from inside his jacket and lunged straight for her chest, shouting, “Die!” 

With the close proximity and his speed, the situation turned momentarily dangerous. A spark of lethal intent flared in Suzy’s eyes. She quickly drew a silver needle from her waist, ready to strike back, when suddenly, someone yanked her out of harm’s way from behind. 

As she turned, she caught sight of her rescuer. 

Dylan? 

Was he planning to attack her one minute and play the hero the next? 

After pulling her aside, he drove a powerful kick into the assailant’s stomach, sending the man flying across the room. Realizing he’d been beaten, the attacker clutched his stomach. and bolted. 

Once the attacker was gone, Dylan turned to her. “A woman on her own should keep a lower profile.” 

From beneath her mask, Suzy’s cold gaze drilled into him, her voice like ice. “Message received, Mr. Wright. I’ll be sure to repay the favor a hundredfold someday.” 

Dylan’s expression quickly hardened, his once impassive eyes turning frigid. “If I wanted you dead, I wouldn’t need anyone’s help. After all, at the hospital that night, you were hardly a match for me.” 

After observing her movements for a while, Dylan noted that her fighting style matched that of the woman he’d encountered at the hospital. But who was she, really? 

Suzy was speechless.

“Is Mr. Wright a bit forgetful?” Suzy’s lips curved in a smirk. “Didn’t I just say my name’s Honey? It hasn’t even been that long, and you’ve already forgotten. You might want to get that checked out at the hospital before it’s too late.” 

Dylan’s gaze darkened. “If you’re not interested in talking, I won’t force it.” 

“Mr. Wright, you’re such a considerate man,” Suzy mocked, raising her thumb in a sarcastic gesture.“Applause for you.”
