At this particular moment, the dressing room was completely empty. After searching, around, Suzy finally found a gown that fit–a floor–length red dress. She didn’t waste time. overthinking it, quickly changing into the gown and grabbing a mask. 

She could have used makeup to disguise herself well enough that Dylan wouldn’t recognize her, which was nearly as effective as a full mask, but there just wasn’t enough time. 

Once everything was in place, Suzy returned to the main hall. 

With an entrance as bold as Dylan’s, she stepped forward and announced, “Twenty–five billion dollars!” 

Her bid sent the room into a frenzy.

Dylan’s gaze fixed on the masked figure, his eyes darkening. The woman’s figure and presence reminded him of the one he’d encountered that night at the hospital. Her voice was different, but voices were the easiest thing to disguise. 

With a quick glance toward Desmond, who picked up the cue, he called out, “May I ask which company this lady represents?” 

Suzy walked steadily toward them, stopping right in front of Dylan, and replied, word by word, “I represent myself.” 

Sensing her defiance, Dylan’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Forty billion dollars.” 

Suzy raised her bid. “Forty–five billion dollars. 

Dylan countered, “Sixty billion dollars.” 

No matter how high Dylan went, Suzy always added another five billion. 

Money was something Dylan had in abundance, but she wasn’t lacking, either. She refused. to believe he’d risk the entire Wright Corporation to win this bid against her. 

As the numbers climbed, the crowd buzzed with excitement. 

“Who is this woman? She’s actually challenging Mr. Wright! Could she be even wealthier than him?” 

“I’d love to take off that mask and see who this bold woman is, someone who doesn’t even flinch before Mr. Wright,” someone murmured from the crowd. 

As the bid approached one trillion, Desmond leaned in and whispered to Dylan, “Sir, I’m

Dylan’s lips curved slightly. “If the lady is so invested in this project, I’ll graciously bow 

out.”
