The moment the voice rang out, the person stepped in.
Suzy never expected that the one she had been looking for all this time was actually…
"Helena!"
Helena smiled at Suzy. "It's been a long time. Did you miss me? Because I sure missed you!"
"So, everything that happened before… was that all your doing?"
Suzy found it hard to believe.
Helena looked confused. "What are you talking about? I don’t quite understand."
"At this point, do you really think there's any point in pretending?"
Suzy felt Helena was just playing dumb.
If she had nothing to do with it, there was no way she would be here.
"What am I pretending about? I just heard you were coming and wanted to catch up," Helena said, genuinely puzzled.
"The usual ways of saying hello are too boring, so I thought I'd try something different."
"You mean to say… this is how you greet me?" Suzy chuckled.
"This is definitely a special way to say hello!"
"Right? I knew you'd like it. After all, you're not easily scared. But my sister seemed a little shaken."
Helena quickly walked over to Evangeline and untied the ropes binding her.
"I only did this because I was afraid you wouldn’t come."
Suzy refused to believe that everything just now was Helena playing a joke on her. "Helena, just be honest. What do you really want?"
"I don’t want anything. I just wanted to say hi." Helena looked at Suzy.
"I've already told you several times, but you just won’t believe me. If I truly had any ulterior motives, why would I let her go so easily?"
Evangeline looked at Helena as well. "So, you really were just joking with Suzy?"
