Chapter 103
Cole released Hailey’s hand, then went ahead to pull out a chair for her. “Thank you.” She whispered, smiling, then took her seat.
Cole served Hailey some food, and she waited for him to serve himself too, and then they dug in at the same time.
“You Okay? You hardly touched your plate. You’ve just been watching me eat.” Hailey said, reaching for her glass of orange juice which she took a sip from.
“Not hungry.”
“You sure? These seem yummy.” She placed the cup which still had some juice left in it on the table.
“I ate on the plane too, remember?”
Hailey blushed. She placed her hand on her belly. “Honey, your Dad is calling me a foodie just because you are making me eat all the time.”
Cole chuckled, “No, Babe. Stop telling her false stories”
Hailey arched her brow, a small smile playing on her lips. “Her?”
“Yes, our little girl”
“Oh, my love,” Hailes mumbled, rubbing her belly with her hand. “I’m sure you enjoyed the food too. Your Daddy wants you to be a girl so bad.”
Cole smiled, “Come on, babe. Don’t act like you don’t want the same too.”
Hailey shrugged. “Maybe I do but it’s good to have an open mind so we won’t get disappointed. This is something we have no control over. Remember?”
“I know and I’m going to love it so much regardless of the gender.”
Hailes smiled. “Being with you makes me feel like this is my first time getting pregnant.”
“I cannot change the past no matter how much it hurts me. So here I am, doing all that I can to make you happy.”
Hailey nodded, smiling. “I feel like a child again. Feels good to have someone taking care of me.”
“Are you done eating so I can show you around?” Cole said, fiddling with his fingers that were under the table.
“Not yet. I want to finish this yummy chicken.”

Chapter 103
Once Hailey was done with her food, Cole gave her a tour of the bungalow apartment. He started off by showing her the kitchen, the spacious living room, the balcony which gave a glimpse of the outdoor pool and garden, the guest room which they would probably not make use of, and then the master bedroom.
Heaving a deep sigh, Cole connected his hand to the door handle and then pushed the door open.
A shy smile crept to Hailey’s lips at what she could see from where she stood outside the door.
“Babe,” She chuckled.
Cole gestured towards the room. “Ladies first.”
“Okay!” She said with a smile on her face as she took slow steps into the room. Hailey’s eyes were suddenly filled with tears as she took in her surroundings, her eyes mostly fixed on the wall where the question boldly was.
The room was beautifully decorated with rose petals on the floor and balloons that fell from the ceilings and on the wall were decorations arranged in words, “Will you marry me?”
Hailey brought her hand to her face and wiped tears away from the corner of her eyes.
Hailes turned around to face Cole but saw him on his knees already. She saw him tuck his hands in his pocket and bring out a squared-shaped box.
He opened it and revealed a precious diamond ring. Hailey had no idea when a tear rolled down her cheek.
“My love!” Cole started saying as he stared into her eyes with so much adoration.
“After two babies and one on the way, here I am, still smitten by you. I’ve been wanting to do this since I set my eyes on you again because I knew I couldn’t afford to lose you again.”
“I had no idea it was possible to love someone this much. And I apologize to you that it took me so long to accept what I feel for you.”
“I love you so much, Hailey. And even if I come to this world again, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose you as my soul mate. You brighten my world and I cannot imagine you belonging to someone else.”
At this point, Hailey was sniffling, trying so hard to stay put.
“I want to spend the rest of my days on earth with you by my side. I swear to always put a smile on your face and make up for all the moments we were apart.”
“I’m grateful that life gave us a second chance which I will never take for granted. Words aren’t just enough to explain how I feel about you, babe. You mean the world to me. I want this to be the beginning of a new phase in our lives. Hailey Riley, will you marry me?”

“It depends if that beauty would fit me.” She sobbed, chuckling at the same time.

Cole took the ring out of the box and then put the box away. Hailey already had her fingers out so he slid the ring onto her left ring finger.
Hailey smiled beautifully. “It fits perfectly.”
Cole kissed her hand, the exact spot where the ring was, then rose to his feet. He stretched his hands to Hailey’s fáce and wiped her tears away with his thumb.
“I don’t know if I would be able to live with myself had you refused me. Thank you.” He placed a soft kiss on Hailey’s lips.
“I didn’t see this coming. We’ve been married before, plus we are having another baby. I knew we were going to have to talk about our life as a couple. I just didn’t see this proposal coming.”
