Chapter 105
Hailey stood with her hands on her hips, as she stared at the open boxes on her bed. They were filled with clothes, shoes, and jewelry that Cole bought for her on their mini vacay. Hailes was wondering where she was going to put them since her closet was almost filled up.
The sound of the doorbell came through so she exited her bedroom to go answer the door.
Opening it, She came face to face with Debbie and her babies.
“Mommy!!!!’ The twins ran towards her and jointly hugged her legs tightly.
Debbie rolled two small boxes in, then gently shut the door behind her.
Hailey chuckled. She released herself from their hold, crouched down to their height, and pulled her sons into a warm hug.
“We missed you, mommy.” Enzo voiced out before pulling away from the hug.
“Yes, Mommy,” Ollie confirmed.
“I missed you both, too.” Hailes kissed her pumpkins on their foreheads.
“Where’s Daddy?” Enzo asked. He tiptoed to look above Hailey’s shoulders if he would find his father in sight.
“He went to attend to something. But he will be here soon, Okay?”
The twins nodded.
“Did you get us gifts?” Ollie smiled.
“Yes, my love. They are in your room.”
“Thank you, mommy.” Ollie hugged Hailey, and Enzo did the same, after which they ran off to their bedrooms.
“Hi, Sis.” Debbie and Hailey exchanged a long warm hug.
“I missed you.” Hailey pouted.
Debbie giggled, pulling away from the hug. “You do?”
Hailey nodded.
“Sadly I can’t say the same because was busy with my godsons.”

Hailes playfully rolled her eyes.
“Let me see, let me see.” Debbie reached for Hailey’s left hand and admired the ring on her.
“This is so beautiful, I think I’m gonna cry,” Debbie mumbled, trying to push back tears that were starting to well up in her eyes.
“I can’t believe I’m blushing like a high schooler. Thank you.”
“It’s so gorgeous on you.” She tore her glance away from the ring, staring at Hailey.
Hailey giggled. “Thank you, babes. And thank you for keeping this a secret from me.”
“Of course, you don’t expect me to ruin the surprise. There would be no fun in that.”
Hail nodded. “I wasn’t expecting it but it made me so happy.”
“Since Cole and I are not officially divorced, I thought he would want to build on that. And that we would only discuss where to go from there since we are having one more baby.”
“Yes, he’s being very intentional about you. I was shocked too when he came to ask for my blessings. I think I gave him a bit of a hard time.”
Hailes chuckled. “No, you didn’t.”
Debbie shrugged. “I teased him a bit. He was so nervous and sad when I told him No. I felt sorry about it but friends before boos, right? I had to make sure he gave me his word that he would take care of you like the real Queen you are and would never hurt you.”
Hailey smiled sweetly. “Thank you for looking out for me. He proposed the night we got there. He was so nervous that he couldn’t eat.”
“I’m so happy for you both. I know it is probably too early to ask this but I can’t stop myself. When is the wedding?”
Hailey chuckled. “We’ve not decided on a date yet but I think I would love to have it soon. Before I start showing. Just an intimate ceremony.”
Debbie nodded. “I’m so happy. And you look so different.”
Hailes playfully rolled her eyes. “Because of the ring?”
“Maybe. But you are glowing beautifully well.”
“Here you go again, teasing me.”

“No, I’m not know how stressed you were before you left for the vacation. But now you look happier, glowing, and more radiant. Could it be the good sex?”
Okay, you are fired!” Hailes said, trying to hide her blush.
“I know you’ve got Cole but we both know we cannot do without each other.”
Hailey pouted. “You are so proud.”
“Of our friendship? Hell yes!”
“So when are you all going to tell the twins?”
“You had no idea how much I was hiding my ring finger from them? Especially from Enzo who questions everything.”
Debbie laughed out loud, knowing it was true.
“We wanted to tell them tomorrow after my Doctor’s appointment but we will let them know today. About the baby and the proposal.”
Debbie reached for Hailey’s hand and gave it a light squeeze. “I’m so happy for you, my friend. You have a beautiful family and you all are about to be blessed times and over. I’m excited to help plan the wedding, baby shower, and all that good stuff.”
Hailey smiled beautifully. “Thank you. I’m happy too. Sometimes I can’t believe this is my life. It feels too good to be true.”
“No, Please don’t think that way. You deserve all the happiness that is coming your way and I want you to embrace them.”
Hailey nodded. “I told you to give me some feedback on the case but you didn’t text me.”
“It wouldn’t be polite of me to disturb you on your honeymoon.”
“That’s not a honeymoon.”
“But you are glowing.”
“I hate you.” Hailes blushed, releasing her hand from Debbie.
“Nah! You love me too much.”
“That was not a honeymoon. Even though I was resting well, I was open to updates.”
