Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1125

Beck and Dylan hurriedly entered the hospital room.

Judith, unconscious on the hospital bed, had an arm hanging off the side, her wrist startlingly pale.

Dylan took her hand and sighed quietly.

While her life wasn't in danger, her health would likely deteriorate after this incident.

He took out his cellphone and after pondering for a while, he called their father.

Beck was startled when he saw the dialed number.

"Dylan, are you going to tell Dad?"

"Yep."

Beck was immediately filled with trepidation. Their father was the ultimate authority in the house. If he found out about Judith's predicament.

But before he could stop Dylan, the call had already gone through.

There was a time difference in North America, and the middle-aged man glanced at the blinking note on his phone screen before deciding to answer.

"Dylan, what's up?"

"Dad, Judith is in the hospital here. She's unconscious. I thought you should know."

The man was silent for a moment before asking, "Is she in danger? How did she get hurt?"

"It has to do with Ian's ex-wife. Judith wanted to marry Ian, but when the ex-wife's parents found out, they pushed her."

The man slowly stood up, staring blankly out the window.

Several minutes later he said, "As long as Judith is okay, it will be fine. As for the rest, you do what you think is necessary."

"Are you coming to Greenfield, Dad?"

"I'll be there in a few days."

He had, after all, asked Phelps to handle some business for him, but there was no news from him yet.

After a pause, he added, "Dylan, have you met any nice kids there in Greenfield, or anyone who reminds you of us, the Sanders?"

This was just a probe. Only he, among the whole Sanders family, knew that Judith was not biologically related to them.

A flash of Maja's bright, confident eyes passed through Dylan's mind, but remembering that she was indirectly responsible for Judith's condition, he shook his head.

"No, Dad. Why do you ask?"

"I just hope Judith makes some good friends there. You and Beck take good care of her. I don't want something like this to happen again."

Dylan nodded, then asked, "What about Mom? Should we tell her?"

"No, don't. If she finds out, she'll want to fly over immediately."
