When Maja got back to Rosewood Manor, she saw a car parked outside. She immediately knew it was lan, and she froze 

Almost instinctively, she backed away and quickly left Rosewood Manor

Why was this woman near Rosewood Manor? Was she just passing by or was she walking her dog like before? 

Maja’s thoughts were racing. 

“Mr. Raymond, I mentioned earlier today that I wanted to take you out for dinner. I happened to be passing by, I was going to call you, but I’m not sure if you’re free.” 

The lighting here was dim, but it seemed like he could see tears in her eyes. 

She might have been crying just now, but she quickly hid her vulnerability when he showed up. 

Was it because of work, or family?
