“Honey, I’m sorry. I just got a bit too carried away. I don’t want you to hurt yourself over being mad.” 

Neil was clutching his chest in pain, so pissed off that his whole body hurt. 

Yeah, this time he really screwed up. He thought his old friend who he hadn’t heard from in a while had come by because he saw that the Pennyfeather family’s second round of funding had been successful. 

And since Maja was a designer, they could work together in the future. It was like helping each other out. 

He glared at Cristina, “I bet that’s exactly what you’re thinking!” 

Cristina was taken aback, realizing that Neil was genuinely mad.

But he felt like everything he did was for her own good. 

Neil looked grim as he saw Tricia coming downstairs. 

Tricia looked particularly pale today, as if she had been wronged. 

Seeing Neil angry, she was about to cry. She instinctively wiped her tears. 

“Dad, I’m sorry. Did you argue with sis because something I did caused her trouble?” 

Hearing her voice, Neil’s anger subsided a bit.

Cristina knew she was too obvious tonight and aroused Neil’s suspicion. Seems like she’d have to smooth things over with him later.
