Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 233

Chapter 233

Maja was a bit puzzled. She hadn’t done anything to piss him off.

When she stepped into the car, she saw lan going through some documents. The suit he was wearing wasn’t the one from yesterday. This time, it was grey, and it still looked perfect on him. The man was a bom model

The sun was slanting onto his face, giving him a sort of noble and unapproachable vibe.

Maja settled herself in the car and shut the door

Fannie’s voice came from outside, and before long, Fannie, with a bag slung over her shoulder, squeezed into the car as well.

“lan, I need to go to school too, and you’re heading that way, so might as well give me a lift

lan looked up, slightly lifting his chin, his tone icy, “I’m going to be in Crystalbrook Valley for a few more days, not going back to Greenfield today

Fannie was already in the car inching as close as she could to him.

“That’s okay, I can hang out in Crystalbrook Valley.”

Her goal was obviously more than just hitching a ride.

Maja watched the two of them squeezed together, thinking about her own status, and found it somewhat amusing.

But she didn’t interfere, just turned to gaze out the window.

The car started moving.

On the ride, Fannie kept yakking. Seeing fan was busy with his documents, she didn’t bother him and instead turned to chat with Maja

“You really got hitched, huh? Aren’t you worried your hubby will get jealous with you sharing a car with other men?”

Didn’t she come here in lan’s car too?

“My husband doesn’t mind about my work”

“No man wouldn’t mind, unless he doesn’t care about you that much.”

After saying this, Fannie turned to look at fan, her eyes full of admiration.

“And being close to a man like lan, your husband should be on guard, right? How come he doesn’t even call you?”

Now Fannie was genuinely curious. Knowing this woman was married, her hostility towards Maja faded.

After all, a man like lan wouldn’t fall for a married woman.

Maja smiled and said, “A good marriage should give each other some space, right? Keeping a sense of mystery is also important.”

lan paused for a moment when he heard this, thinking about her husband kissing another woman in public.

If a marriage needs to give each other this kind of space, doesn’t that just provide opportunities for third parties?

Fannie didn’t say anything more, she didn’t have any common topics with a married woman.

Maja pretended to rest, leaning back in the seat and closing her eyes.

She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but lan didn’t say a word, even more silent than before.

Thinking about the unexpected kiss last night, Maja frowned.

Though she hated to admit it, the soft kiss in that atmosphere was enough to make her heart flutter

What was he thinking?

But she didn’t dare to ask

She simply pretended not to hear

Two hours later, the car pulled up in front of Riverside Haven. Maja still had some business to attend to with the Daly family, so she leaned over to thank lan

“Mr. Raymond, thank you.”
