Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 248

Chapter 248

Maja arrived at the hospital and headed straight to the ICU, only to find Cristina already there, waiting

But Cristina was too caught up in her own thoughts to notice Maja’s arrival. She kept pestering the doctor with questions “When will my husband wake up? Can I go in and see him? Please do everything you can.”

Two nurses stood by her, helpless and sighing at her relentless anxiety

“We’ve told you many times, Cristina. We need three days for observation. As for how he’s doing, we need more time to figure that out. Please, ot down and rest.”

“I want to see him”

“I’m sorry, you can’t go in yet. We’ll let you know when you can.”

A sense of relief washed over Cristina. As long as she could get in, she was determined to pull the plug on Neil’s life support. There was no way she was going to let him wake up. Things had come this far. There was no turning back now.

When Cristina noticed Maja, her body stiffened, and she quickly let go of the nurse she was holding on to

Maja took a seat on a bench in the corridor, quietly waiting for the doctor’s report. Meanwhile, Cristina was a bundle of nerves, her palms sweaty with worry.

She was afraid of what Maja might notice, so she avoided making eye contact.

Footsteps echoed from the other end of the corridor. It was Tricia. Upon seeing Maja, a flash of hatred crossed Tricia’s eyes. But then, she quickly resumed her victim act

“Mom, how’s Dad doing?”

With Tricia by her side, Cristina finally managed to shake off her anxiety.

“I don’t know, Tricia. I’m really freaking out.”

Nell woke up and called the police, they were toast.

Tricia misunderstood Cristina’s concem as worry about the transfer of the Pennyfeather family’s shares.

“Don’t worry, Mom. Dad’s going to be okay.”

Tricia then turned to look at Maja, whose face was blank. “Maja.”

Even though their relationship was on the rocks, Tricia seemed to have forgotten all about their last falling out. Maybe she was shameless, or maybe she was just resilient

Maja didn’t respond. She was too focused on the ICU.

“Dad’s in the hospital and Mr. Raymond hasn’t even bothered to visit?”

Of course, she was still hung up on lan. Maja found this amusing and smirked. “You’re this concerned about someone else’s husband?”

A flicker of embarrassment crossed Tricia’s face, but it quickly turned into confidence. “You might think he’s your husband, but does he see you as

his wife? In his eyes, you’re just a tool the Pennyfeather family uses for their business. Maybe he even despises this tool.”

Since they had already exposed their true intentions, there was no need for Tricia to pretend to be nice.

And besides, Cristina was on her side

“If you can’t keep Mr. Raymond, don’t blame other women for being interested.”

Maja leaned back in her chair, seemingly indifferent to Tricia

“Tricia, I’ve told you before, if you can make lan divorce me, I’ll sign the papers right away. He’s at the airport right now, picking up his ex-girlfriend. Your competition might not be me

It would be best if these two women fought it out on their own

Sure enough, upon hearing Carlene was back, Tricia’s face turned sour, as if she was about to pass out.

Carlene was lan’s first love, the one he had been pining for. He had gone abroad for three years because Maja’s presence had ruined his relationship with Carlene. Now that Carlene was back, all other women had to step aside.

Tricia became restless. She was confident she could beat Maja, but she wasn’t so sure about beating Carlene

Her fingers trembled slightly and her gaze flickered. She needed to find an opportunity to get closer to lan. if Maja could get close to him, so could

shell

Tricia was already thinking of ways to make lan fall for her, totally oblivious to Neil’s situation.
