Upon hearing that Neil had woken up, Cristina freaked out. Didn’t the doctor say it would take a week? 

She rushed to the hospital, only to find Neil still unconscious, which was a bit of a relief. 

The guard at the door was still there. She couldn’t do anything, so she immediately phoned Carter. 

“The doc said Neil woke up today! What are we going to do? After Glenn’s accident, I’m all over the place.” 

Carter was also surprised. He didn’t expect Neil’s body to be so messed up yet wake up so quickly, 

But that’s okay. His plan was already in motion. Once the money hit the account in a couple of days, he could take the cash and live the high life abroad. 

“Don’t sweat it. He just woke up. It’ll be a long time before he can talk.” 

Cristina was always uneasy. “Once Neil can talk, we’re toast. Let’s sell my shares while he’s still unconscious, and let’s take the money and jet off abroad?” 

That’s got to be better than losing everything at home. 

Carter’s eyes lit up at the idea. Thanks to Cristina for dealing with the board of directors, the ByteWise Technologies project was successfully signed. He had reached an agreement with a leader at ByteWise Technologies. Once the contract was over, they would wire 10 million dollars directly into his account. 

10 million dollars. He could live a life of luxury with this, finding a young woman, no need to stick with that old bat Cristina. 

Even though Cristina had aged well, she was indeed getting on. 

Cristina had given him several million over the years, plus he had a bunch of side chicks. His life was pretty sweet.

“Carol, when is his flight?”
