At Maja’s place, the tornado kept on going and showed no sign of stopping. 

She took a breather on a chair and started feeling wiped out. 

lan checked her knee injury, it seemed okay. “We got to crash here tonight, ‘cause there was a landslide on the road we came from; we can’t go back for now. We’ve got to wait till the wind stops and the road crew in town fixes it, then we can hit the road” 

A huge boulder was blocking the road, it was impossible to move it single–handedly. 

Maja was a bit confused. How did lan know about the landslide? 

But she didn’t ask. 

Every time they fell silent, the vibe felt a bit weird, especially in this crappy weather. Living together in this house was like a refuge. 

lan, a neat freak, wasn’t feeling comfy with dust on his clothes. 

In just a minute, Maja saw him frown a few times. 

She headed straight to the bathroom, thankful that despite its small size, the hot water was running fine. 

“Mr. Raymond, you go get a shower first; I’ll wash your clothes in the sink. I saw a hair dryer in the bathroom; you should be able to dry your shirt quickly.” lan didn’t say anything, but he did see the hair dryer. 

So he stripped off his suit and started undoing his shirt buttons. 

As he undid each button, Maja got a glimpse of his muscular body; she couldn’t help but sneak a few more peeks until he tossed his clothes overhead, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. 

“Quit drooling.” 

Then he stepped into the bathroom, passing his pants to her on the way. 

Seeing his boxers, Maja’s cheeks turned bright red. She quickly went to the sink and gave the clothes and pants a good wash. 

Seeing lan not coming out of the bathroom, she guessed that he was probably rinsing off the sand on his body. 

She glanced at the bed. 

They had to spend the night here and wondered if lan could sleep; given his neat freak tendencies, he might rather stay up all night. 

She remembered that lan drove his own car here; there might be things like small blankets in his car. 

But the wind outside was strong; who knew when it might flip the car over? 

Bracing herself, Maja opened the door. 

The moment she opened the door, she felt like she was almost sucked out. 

Holding lan’s car keys tightly, she staggered towards the car. 

On the way, she accidentally inhaled a few mouthfuls of sand and almost choked. 

Finally got to the car. 

lan’s car had a lot of stuff in it; after all,it was all prepared by Jeff, even clothes. 

She let out a sigh of relief, grabbed all the stuff, then opened the car door and went back inside. 

Despite the short distance of a hundred meters, it felt like she had walked through a century. 

Just as she closed the door, lan came out of the bathroom, completely naked, 

Maja immediately tossed him a pair of pants. 

“Mr. Raymond, get your pants on fast.” 

Seeing her just come back from outside, lan’s expression changed. “Have you lost your mind?” 

Maja spread the blanket she brought on the bed, even covering the pillows. 

“I know you’re a clean freak, but we’ve got to make do tonight. This is your blanket from your car; it’s clean.” 

lan didn’t say anything; he just put on the pants she brought. 

Was she compromising for him? 

His heart gave a jolt.
