Maja took lan’s shirt and went to the shower. Coming out with wet hair, she dried it with a hair dryer and ran her fingers through it before daring to sit on 

the bed 

She glanced at the time; it was already ten in the evening, and the night had completely set in. 

The dust in the wind was still relentlessly hitting the window. Apart from this, the room seemed quite cozy. 

There was no air conditioning here, but perhaps due to the strong wind, there was a hint of chill in the air. 

She sneezed, and the next second, lan was holding her, his chest pressed tightly against her back. “Cold?” 

There were no blankets here, but the bed was soft enough. 

“A bit.” 

His chin was resting on top of her head, holding her entirely in his arms.

But his hug made her feel a lot warmer. Even though it wasn’t cold in the summer, the sudden change in weather hadn’t given her body time to adjust. Neither of them spoke 

Half an hour later, Maja’s phone rang. It was a call from her university professor. 

She immediately sat up, her voice soft. 

“Professor.” 

“Maja, the Solstice College database was broken into tonight. It even made the news. The thief got away and was very skilled. After going through the files with some colleagues, we found out that your files had been tampered with. It’s likely that the thief was targeting you. Have you upset anyone?” But even if she had upset someone, it’s unlikely they’d go after her college records. 

“Anyway, be careful. I’m just giving you a heads–up because I’m not sure what else was taken. The university has been asked to keep this under wraps, but I noticed that your file had been tampered with.” 

“Professor, I understand.” 

Maja hung up the phone, feeling a bit frustrated. 

Her college files were nothing special. She attended classes diligently and painted. In college, she was pressured by Dalia and Daniel to the point of almost not graduating. Later, she chose online courses. After graduation, she started working at a studio. Apart from that episode, she led an ordinary life. 

If there was anything special, it was that she was always looking for that person. 

Because he had once said that he was a student at Solstice College. 

So from the first day of university, she began to look for him. 

But she never found him. 

After searching for half a year, she realized that maybe she had been fooled. 

She never told anyone about this, not even Carol Miller.
