She was worried about Neil’s health, given that he only had three months left to live. 

She hoped to find the child Lillian had given birth to within these three months, but that seemed next to impossible. 

After a sleepless night, the tornado had ceased by the morning. Several of the heads from Crystalbrook Valley arrived. 

“Mr. Raymond,I’m glad you’re okay.” 

“We were scared out of our wits yesterday.” 

He was about to question why he drove off alone from the villa, but a warning glance from lan made him swallow his words. 

They all drove back to the small town, and Maja was sitting with lan the whole time. She could feel a change in Daly’s gaze towards her; it was now filled with disappointment and heartache. 

Just as they got back to Riverside Haven, Maja had barely stepped out of the car when she heard Olivia’s furious voice from a distance. 

Olivia stormed up to her, ready to slap Maja. 

“You wench! You were messing around with Mr. Raymond behind your husband’s back. You’re shameless! Everyone, look at her! She’s supposed to be a high achiever, but look at the disgraceful thing she’s doing!” 

Olivia was shouting loudly, hoping to tarnish Maja’s reputation. 

Daly was taken aback that Olivia had been waiting for Maja here, in front of lan, and his face instantly changed: 

“Oli, you should be resting at home. What are you doing here? Go back!” 

“I’m not going! I want everyone to see this wench’s true colors!” 

Olivia was burning with jealousy. She thought she was no less than Maja, but this god–like man didn’t even glance at her. Instead, he seemed to favor Maja, keeping her by his side.. 

They must have something going on; she wondered what he was like in bed. 

At the thought, Olivia wished she could slap Maja hard. 

Maja was about to respond to Olivia’s accusations, but lan quickly shielded her. 

Faced with lan, Olivia blushed. He was the most handsome man she had ever met, and she liked the idea of bearing his children. 

lan recognized the look in her eyes, and his gaze filled with disgust.

Because of lan’s good looks and wealth, Olivia was completely infatuated. She thought maybe it was her pregnancy that made lan less interested in her.
