Holden slowly nodded, “Alright, I guessed right, you’ve already got someone else in your heart. So, tell me, what’s your plan? I haven’t told Maja about your accident.” 

lan hung his head low, his eyes filled with surprise. He knew this was the chance he had been waiting for. “Grandpa, I want to divorce Maja. I’ve never loved her.” The words hung heavy in the hospital room. Ian thought his grandfather would oppose, would scold him, but instead, the old man slowly stood up, leaning on his cane, his voice carrying a hint of sadness. 

“Then do as you wish. You’ve already got someone else in your heart, you’re no longer worthy of Mája. However, due to the Raymond family’s two rounds of investment in the Pennyfeather group, Maja might be a bit,reluctant to divorce immediately. She proposed a three–month period. After three months, you two can sign the divorce papers and go your separate ways, no interference.” 

lan had thought this would take years, but to his surprise, his grandfather agreed so quickly. A slight smile tugged at his lips, he thought that his weakened appearance had prevented his grandfather from scolding him further.. 

Holden was now at the door, a’s he opened it, he added, “Just remember, don’t regret it later.” 

As if he’d ever regret divorcing a woman like her. “Don’t worry, grandpa. I won’t.” 

Seeing lan’s determination and his lack of any affection for Maja, Holden felt even more disdain for him. He had already been intimate with Maja but showed no shame. 

Well, he wasn’t planning on interfering anymore. 

After his grandfather left, lan turned to Jeff. “Where’s Penny?” 

“The day Fitch brought you to the hospital, your grandpa came. The Raymond family’s been in and out, but Ms. Penny hasn’t come.” 

lan felt a pang of discomfort. She didn’t even sneak a peek at him? 

“Where’s my phone?” 

Jeff had gotten him a new phone and handed it to him. 

Maja also got a new phone with two SIM cards. She was in a meeting with senior executives at the Raymond Corporation when lan called. “Mr. Raymond.” 

lan’s injuries were severe, and his bandages were still thick. “What are you doing?” 

“Just some work stuff.” 

lan fell silent for a moment, then couldn’t help but ask, “You’re not planning on visiting me?” 

Maja had heard the Raymond family was going through some drama. The old man had called her multiple times asking her to stay out of the disputes, so she hadn’t shown up. But while chatting with Connie Raymond, she found out both the Raymond and Casson family were pressuring her to divorce lan. The old man’s suggestion of a three–month agreement had calmed things down a bit. 

And her phone hadn’t stopped ringing these past few days, all messages from Selena cursing her out. A woman that Steve had once cared for, causing Selena to abandon all pretense and unleash the most malicious words against Maja. 

Apart from Selena, there was Edith. Edith’s words were even worse, now even denigrating the deceased Lillian. This, Maja could not stand. 

“Mr. Raymond, I’m a bit busy right now.” 

After she said this, lan fell silent for a minute, then hung up. 

He was furious. He 

never met a more ungrateful woman. 

Jeff hurriedly handed him a glass of water, then tried to soothe him. “Ms. Penny might not know you like her.” 

lan scoffed, “who said I like her?” 

Jeff immediately fell silent.
