Right now, only Mr. Sanders knew the real deal. 

So, Beck’s trip to Greenfield, for sure, was about something other than finding his sister because that gig was already handed to Phelps Herrington. Tyler is a top–notch scriptwriter and a buddy of Beck’s, they share a common vice- they both have a thing for pretty ladies. 

So, Beck rang him up, asking if he was up for some drinks tonight. 

Tyler glanced at lan and invited Beck to his villa for a shindig. 

At the same time, Maja was driving over but got hit by another car while turning a corner. It was a flashy sports car with a unique colour, obviously custom–made. 

She frowned and stepped out of her car. 

Beck also hopped out and was surprised to see the lady from the mall. 

Maja went to the back of her car, finding it dented from the collision. 

She glanced at the time, worried she’d be late and piss off lan. 

So she asked Beck, “What’s your plan for compensation?” 

When she turned to look at Beck, she noticed his good looks. He was really handsome. 

His charm was different from lan’s. Ian had a restrained but strong aura, while Beck was like a vivid butterfly. 

His attire wasn’t flashy, but his looks and gaze were stunning. 

Beck leaned on his car door, checking Maja from top to bottom. 

A minute later, he pulled out a check and wrote down three hundred grand. 

Three hundred grand was enough to buy Maja’s car. She was taken aback. 

Beck kissed her, saying “The extra is for your beauty. Seeing such a beautiful lady made my day.” 

He got back in his car, waved her goodbye and drove off. 

Maja stood there, stunned. 

She was like, where did this guy come from? He’s way too generous… 

She didn’t bother thinking further, took the money, and headed to the villa. 

The room was filled with the smell of alcohol and cooking. 

But when Maja walked in, she didn’t see lan. 

Tyler pointed upstairs saying, “He drank on an empty stomach and isn’t feeling too good. He’s resting upstairs.” 

Maja went upstairs to find him in the same room. 

The door was closed. When she walked in, she saw lan holding a glass of water, looking really uncomfortable. 

He was standing by the window, one hand on his stomach. 

“Mr. Raymond.” 

She called and took out the bracelet she bought, saying, “This is my gift.” 

lan put the glass down. With his stomach discomfort, he looked a bit pale. 

Seeing the bracelet, he recognized its value at a glance. Worth at least a few hundred grand. it was top–grade agilawood. 

The scent of agilawood was faint but calming. 

He didn’t say a word, just leaned against the wall and reached out. 

Maja lowered her eyes, grasped his wrist, and put the bracelet on him. 

She had good taste. The agilawood bracelet made his wrist look even more slender. 

lan was quite pleased with the gift. He played with the bracelet with a slight smile on his face. 

“That must’ve cost you a fortune, huh?” 

Maja promptly replied, “It’s the least I could do.” 

lan raised an eyebrow, obviously pleased with her answer. 

This woman sure knows how to talk. 

Maja was just saying it casually, but she noticed laughter in lan’s eyes. 

He was leaning against the wall, inspecting the bracelet on his wrist, but still speaking coldly. 

“Not bad, just my taste.” 

Maja gave him a small smile, but the next moment, she was pulled over. Their positions switched, her back against the wall. 

lan kissed her nose and bent down for her lips when Tyler’s voice came from outside. 

“Beck’s here.” 

lan immediately let her go. 

Maja was about to push him away. Seeing him stop, she breathed a sigh of relief. 

When they walked downstairs, Beck was already chatting with Fitch.
