Destined To Love Her (Astrid and Blaze) novel Chapter 19

Chapter 19 “Are you okay? Slow down a bit. No one's rushing you."

Mark poured water for Astrid.

"I-I'm fine!"

Astrid took a big sip of water and regained her composure.

"| didn't know you like red wine, Miss Graves," Blaze remarked.

"| don't."

‘What the hell was that about, Blaze? Shut up! Astrid cursed in her heart.

"Mark, you mentioned Miss Graves sacrificed a lot. What do you mean? | hate to owe Miss Graves anything."

"Do you know Foster Biomedical Group, Blaze?"

"Everyone knows about the company. It's famous for developing the Foster | ."

The development of that drug caused quite a sensation in the academic world, but no one knew about the research team behind it.

"Gideon took the Foster | ."

Blaze's face changed, and he turned to Astrid.

“Astrid and her teacher are the leading researchers of the project. There are other staff members, of course. But the other two hundred people are all working for Astrid.

"They developed the medicine three years ago but put it on hold because of Astrid's leg injury."

Astrid raised her eyebrows.

“Blaze, you owe Astrid a big one. She has gone through a lot of trouble developing and producing the drug. Gideon is a lucky guy."

Blaze didn't expect Astrid to be so generous. He remembered how confident she was when she negotiated terms with him that day. If Mark told the truth, he owed her a big favor indeed.

"Is the drug available now?"

Blaze was smart. He always knew what to ask.

“It has passed clinical trials and can be massively produced,” Mark answered.

Astrid pouted.

‘Hmph! Blaze is still underestimating me!’ She thought.

"Here's to you, Miss Graves."

Blaze raised his wine glass as a signal, knowing Astrid didn't drink.

"| don't drink alcohol. | only drink water."

Astrid didn't care what Blaze thought of her. She just took a sip of water in a perfunctory way.

Blaze took a sip of his wine but didn't speak.

"Come on, Astrid. Try the caviar cakes here. These are from a three-star Michelin chef, and this is the only place you can enjoy them in Cheston City. People will kill to have them. | asked the chef to bring them to you tonight."

It was high-quality caviar, indeed. In the past, only royal families could have it. A tiny piece here was worth over 100 thousand dollars.

Astrid glanced at the caviar cakes on the table. They must be worth one million dollars.

"Thank you, Mark."

Astrid felt great that Mark ripped a good one off Blaze tonight.

What Eddy did last time made Astrid decide to do a little investigation. As a result, she found out that Blaze owned the Greenstone Club.
