Ditched Cheating Alpha, I Led My Daughter to Life's Peak novel Chapter 318

Axel doesn't budge. "Still, that's a little-"

"Trust me." Aiden makes another note in his book. "She likes it."

My jaw drops. It's one thing for Carson and Axel to be in cahoots, but Aiden?

"If you say so..." Axel's hand trails away from my chest. Over my waist. Down my backside and-

I jump when he smacks my butt. Are you kidding me?

"Aiden," I hiss.

No response.

"Don't you ignore me." I sit up. "That's enough from both of you." I gesture to the two boys on the other beds.

"Me?" Carson gasps.

"Yes, you." I jab a finger in his direction. "You're corrupting Axel."

"Corrupting?" Carson can't even keep a straight face. "That's such a strong word." He gets up, thankfully wearing at least his deep red briefs. "I'd prefer to say..." He has the nerve to tap his chin again while he walks towards me. "I know, making the most of our joint situation."

I back up into Axel, but he offers no help. Carson tugs me towards the edge of the bed, his fingers brushing around my waist and under my legs.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Making us all comfortable." He picks me up bridal style before nodding to Axel.

Axel gets up and follows us. I have no idea where Carson's going until he deposits me onto Aiden's bed.

Aiden scowls. "Don't even try it."

"Yeah, yeah." Carson drops himself in between Aiden and me. "Kill joy."

Axel crawls in beside me on the other side. I stare wide-eyed at the ceiling.

I honestly don't know what to expect next, but neither one of the boys beside me tries anything else. Carson just hums, "Goodnight," burying his nose into the crook of my neck. He breathes in my scent like it's his lifeline, and after I recover from the whiplash of his sexy-straight-to-domestic behavior, I pull him closer, resting against him as much as he's resting against me. This guy. He's too crazy for his own good.

Axel leans against me from the other side, and I pull him closer, smiling when he nuzzles against me. This guy. Too sweet for his own good.

"Sorry I hit your butt," he whispers.

I try not to laugh. "It's okay. It was Aiden's idea anyway." And he was right.

Aiden rolls his eyes. I smile at him. He keeps reading, flipping a page every now and again. The rest of the room falls silent. I let the warmth surrounding me lull me to sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a busy day, but tonight, we rest.

"So... round two or what?" Carson asks.

... I could get used to this.
