"Yeah, you," I say.

He raises an eyebrow.

I point towards the forest he was just leading me to. "What are you trying to do to me in there?"

People are watching now.

He looks towards where I'm pointing. He doesn't say anything for a while and I hear people starting to laugh. Wolf boy. That's what they keep whispering. It's like that time in chemistry all over again.

I stare at him. His shoulders look tense.

"Onai...?"

He looks back at me harshly, "I just walk there. You could've just said something if you were uncomfortable."

I look around at the overly amused faces in the crowd. I turn back to him. "Well... Sorry. I was just..."

He doesn't answer. He turns away from me and starts walking down the sidewalk, just as quickly as before. This time I don't bother him about it. I just try to keep up.

I feel really bad. I don't know why they were calling him that though.

Eventually we pass all of the people and large buildings. The area around us becomes a lot greener, the trees a lot taller. He slows down a bit, no longer... running away. I guess he's more comfortable here, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm a lot less. There are small buildings here and there, but not many. And the houses are far apart and they all look different, not like in a neighborhood.

"Are we almost there?" I ask. I'm not trying to make him feel judged, but I still want to be alive by the end of this.

He doesn't say anything. That's when I hear it. The growling. My eyes snap towards the forest area beside us, behind the small houses. I run to his side. "Onai. There's a werewolf. Is it a rogue?"

He doesn't say anything. He just keeps walking.

"O... Onai?" I stare between the underbrush and him. It's literally right beside us, and the noise is getting louder.

"Go," he says.

Suddenly a noise breaks out, like a whine.

"Go," he says again.
