“No way.” Joycelyn exclaimed, slipping off her shoes and darting to the other side of the room. 

“I was just joking!” she added quickly. “Why are you taking it so seriously?” 

It was the first time Joycelyn had seen Ellison looking so serious The sight made her burst into carefree laughter, even as a trace of panic bubbled beneath her amusement. 

Though she had provoked him, she remained calm, confident that she could always admit her mistake and concede defeat if things spiraled out of control. 

Ellison snorted, fully aware she was teasing him. His dark eyes sparkled with mischief as he replied, “It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. We’ll discuss this in bed later.” 

“I think the sofa looks really comfortable,” Joycelyn declared as she dashed to the large, plush sofa by the floor–to–ceiling window, flopped onto it, and clutched a cushion to her chest. 

Smiling sweetly, she added, “Tonight, I’m sleeping here 

She settled in and couldn’t help but peek at Ellison as he unbuttoned his shirt. The scene was nothing short of mesmerizing -broad shoulders, a sculpted chest, and defined abs came into view as he prepared for his bath. 

Though Ellison’s physique leaned on the leaner side, his body was chiseled, as if he’d been sculpted by countless hours at the 

gym 

Clad in his usual tailored suits, he exuded an air of authority and sophistication. But without them, his chiseled abs and sculpted physique were utterly mesmerizing 

Joycelyn wasn’t one to indulge in such thoughts, but she couldn’t deny she liked what she saw. At first, she’d been shy, but after sneaking a few touches of his abs, resisting had become im–ossible. 

“Mrs. Grant, I can see you drooling from here,” Ellison remarked casually, tossing his shirt aside as his elegant fingers unfastened the button of his pants with practiced ease. 

Joycelyn’s cars burned, but she did not look away. From a safe detance, she could enjoy the view without consequence. “Wow, Mr. Grant, your body is incredible, she teased with a playful smirk, arching a brow. 

Outside the window, the tranquil sea glimmered under the moonlight. 

The lights in the room accentuated Ellison’s tanned skin, firm muscles, and perfect body contours. Every detail exuded raw masculinity, making him an irresistible force of nature. 

Even Joycelyn, who prided herself on being simple and innocent couldn’t stop her imagination from wandering

“Ive seen it before. It’s nothing special,” Joycelyn shot back, though the fiery blush on her cheeks betrayed her. She buried her face in the cushion as if that could extinguish the heat spreading through her. 

Desperate for distraction, she lay back and fixed her gaze on the starry sky visible through the glass roof, thinking perhaps the beauty of the universe would calm her racing thoughts. 

Ellison didn’t respond immediately, but she sensed his presence moments later. He leaned over the sofa’s backrest, his hands planted firmly on it. His sharp features were now dangeredy close, his dark eyes narrowing as he studied her. 

“It’s nothing special? Are you sure?” he asked, his voice low and provocative. 

Joycelyn gasped, startled. “How do you walk without making any sound?” 

Panic overtook her as she tried to roll off the sofa and onto the carpe,below, but before she could escape, Ellison grabbed the back of her collar and effortlessly hoisted her into the air. 

Joycelyn blinked in stunned confusion, her mind reeling. “Why does it always feel like every ounce of strength I’ve accumulated in my entire life is utterly useless against him?‘ she thought. 

Ellison carried her as though she weighed nothing, his strong arms like steel bands that trapped her securely, Her limbs were pinned against him as he strode purposefully toward the bathtub. 

One glance downward was all it took for her to realize her predicament. She immediately squeezed her eyes shut, wanting to scream at the sight she shouldn’t have seen. 

“Mr. Grant, I was wrong. Please forgive me,” Joycelyn pleaded, her voice softening into a desperate whimper.

Ellison set her down by the bathtub and shed his last layer of clothing. With confident steps, he entered the oversized tub. 

“Scrub my back,” he commanded, his voice smooth. “If you do it well, I’ll forgive you. If not…” He chuckled darkly, “You’ll have to make it up to me another way.” 

Ellison’s aura was undeniably powerful, but he didn’t seem intent on pushing her further. Joycelyn, relieved, watched as he settled into the tub. 

“I can scrub your back,” she muttered, rolling her sleeves.

“Stop staring and focus, Ellison’s deep voice interrupted her thoughts.
