Chapter 199
Chapter 199
“Ellison, Sandra kicked me!” Leon was the first to act, throwing himself under the bus as a shield to avoid being reprimanded.
“Ellison, I caught him eavesdropping, so I took care of it for you,” Sandra said, crossing her arms smugly as she shifted the blame with a queen–like air of confidence.
“You two weren’t supposed to still be here,” Ellison said, his charming expression vanishing in an instant, replaced by his signature cool and stern demeanor.
Joycelyn bit her lip, trying to stifle her laughter as she watched Ellison, now in strict disciplinarian mode, lecture Leon.
“We decided to stay another night, you know, to keep the festivities going,” Sandra announced breezily.
“Mrs. Grant asked him to say a blessing for you two later. She thinks it’ll bring you good luck,” Sandra added. Though petite in stature, she carried herself with the commanding presence of a queen.
Meanwhile, Leon, a spoiled troublemaker in his own right, was left with no choice but to act like her lackey primarily because he couldn’t beat her in a fight.
“Oh, come on! You should feel honored to have such an important task fall to you,” Sandra quipped, her grin mischievous.
Leon let out a disgruntled huff and turned his head away.
Joycelyn, feeling a bit puzzled, couldn’t resist asking, “Blessing words?”
“That’s right,” Sandra replied, her tone lighthearted. “Mrs. Grant believes it’s best to have someone clever and bright offer their blessings to newlyweds. At first, she thought Leon was too mischievous, and then she remembered Ellison could keep him in line without breaking a sweat. That’s when she felt it was safe to assign him the task.”
“Sandra, could you laugh any louder?” Leon growled, hands on his hips as he glared down at her.
‘If only Sandra weren’t as strong as an ox, able to toss me like a rag doll, I’d definitely teach her a lesson, Leon fumed internally.
‘Kid? Leon is at least 22, isn’t he?‘ Joycelyn wondered, her thoughts running wild.
“Oh… well?” Joycelyn let out a snort of laughter before quickly lowering her head, trying to keep a straight face. But as the thought sank in, she couldn’t hold back any longer and leaned against Ellison’s shoulder, giggling uncontrollably.
‘Seriously? A 22–year–old, tall, athletic guy delivering blessings like some little child? This is too much!‘ Joycelyn thought, struggling to contain her laughter.
Meanwhile, Leon, who always carried himself with an air of carefree arrogance, was now thoroughly exposed. His face turned beet red, the flush spreading all the way to the tips of his ears.
“Sandra, shut your mouth!” Leon finally exploded, his voice a mixture of frustration and embarrassment.
“Well, hurry up then,” Sandra said, tilting her head and looking up at him with an unapologetic smirk. Though she was much smaller than Leon, her confidence made her seem larger than life.
Leon, however, found himself completely outmatched.
He began. “Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing you both a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and countless unforgettable memories. May your days together always be full of joy and adventure. And hey, here’s to start your family
soon.
Chapter 199
“Can’t wait to see your little ones running around someday! Cheers to a beautiful beginning and a future overflowing with happiness!“”
Thinking he was finally off the hook, Leon was caught off guard when Sandra suddenly spun on her heels and darted toward the villa. “Mrs. Grant, Leon memorized it, but he doesn’t mean it!”
Ellison froze for a moment, stunned by the audacity of it all. “Sandra, enough!” Leon roared, his temper flaring as he bolted after her.
“That’s it! I can’t take it anymore. I’m going to laugh until my stomach hurts,” Joycelyn said, clutching her abdomen as her body shook with uncontrollable laughter. These two troublemakers were absolutely hilarious.
Sandra cried out. “Leon’s mad at me. I’m afraid of him.”
“I can’t take it anymore. I’m really going to laugh until my stomach hurts.” Joycelyn pressed her stomach with one hand and she trembled with laughter. The two of them were so cute.
“They’re louder than a pair of barking dogs,” Ellison muttered with a straight face, his voice dripping with exasperation. “Even the black and white pups look more appealing now.”
Inside the villa, Leon chased Sandra around the living room while Sandra darted back and forth, pretending to be frightened.
Isolde and Luna, caught in the middle, tried their best to play peacemakers, coaxing the pair to stop their antics.
Standing outside, Joycelyn watched the chaos unfold. A warm feeling spread through her chest as she thought, This scene….. it’s so heartwarming, so full of love,‘ she wondered.
She couldn’t stop laughing at Leon’s antics.
“Leon’s already in his twenties. It’s amazing, though. He’s actually a pretty clean–cut guy,” Joycelyn remarked, her tone filled with amused disbelief.
Still, with Leon’s short fuse and explosive temper, she couldn’t help but think that if she had a son like him, raising him would be such a handful.
But at the same time, the contrast in his personality, tough on the outside, but oddly endearing made him pretty cute in her
eyes.
“Both of you, stay far away! Don’t even think about rolling on my bed and dirtying it!” Ellison called out, his voice dripping with disdain.
Joycelyn couldn’t take it anymore; she was laughing so hard her stomach hurt.
Leon being forced to deliver a blessing was already hilarious, but Ellison’s obvious annoyance just made it all the more entertaining.
