Joycelyn paused for a moment, pretending to think, her face flushed, “Let me think… 

She dragged it out deliberately, then began to ponder. 

“Are you really taking this long to think? Ellison’s brow furrowed slightly, his tone turning impatient 

Seeing his face grow more serious, Joycelyn dragged it on even longer, her responses a drawn–out ‘em as if she couldn’t come up with an answer. 

Clearly, she was doing it on purpose. 

Ellison’s expression darkened as her delay continued, his frustration growing. 

“Why are you taking so long? Are you angry or just impatient?” Joycelyn laughed playfully, sensing his growing irritation. 

“You tell me,” Ellison’s voice was tight, his fingers digging into her side. 

“Ow, you’re pinching me too hard,” she playfully protested, though his grip was not rough. 

She was just teasing him. 

“Speak up, or I’ll make it hurt more,” Ellison leaned in, his forehead touching hers as he spoke, his voice low and

Seeing that she had managed to tease him enough, Joycelyn let go of his hand, quickly opening the door behind her, saying, “But I’m on my period, I can’t…” 

She tried to walk away, but Ellison was too quick and yanked her back. 

Joycelyn’s face changed in shock as Ellison’s reflexes were almost frightening–quick like a predator, trapping her before she could escape. 

“I’m not some decent guy you think I am,” Ellison murmured with a smirk, “If I don’t do something now, I’d be disappointing you, wouldn’t I?” 

Joycelyn was truly at a loss, caught between wanting to cry and having no tears. Ellison’s generosity and his calculating nature seemed perfectly balanced, 

It was like she couldn’t provoke him in the slightest, One wrong move, and she’d be the one to suffer. 

Ellison’s stern face was watching her intently, his smile unreadable. 

He was both wicked and arrogant. 

Suddenly, as he held her, his large hand on her waist gently squeezed. 

Joycelyn gasped in surprise. 

Just as she let out a startled breath, her lips were sealed by his, and a hot, overwhelming kiss took over. 

She couldn’t believe it. Ellison was really all over her, even when they were just eating dinner! 

Trying to break free, she pushed against him. 

But Ellison remained unyielding, not moving an inch. He leaned down and kissed her again, his need evident, as if he was trying to make up for lost time. 

His arms tightened around her waist as she struggled to react, feeling lost in the overwhelming kiss. 

After a long moment, Ellison finally pulled back, but he held her against him, her small body resting in his embrace like a little pet, looking up at him with a pout, clearly displeased. 

But the way she looked at him only made her more endearing. 

Ellison’s eyes darkened, the intensity building again.
